Playing hard to get?
Stella wouldn't even entertain such pathetic tricks.-
Hearing her demand the five hundred million dollars back and threaten to stop the projects, Julian's blood ran cold.
"What did you just say? Are you out of your mind?"
Pay back five hundred million dollars immediately?
Did she even hear herself?
And didn't she know how much capital was tied up in those projects? Stopping them now would result in catastrophic losses!
It would ruin the Sinclair family, and the Channings would suffer massive collateral damage too.
From the day she married him, the financial interests of the Channings and the Sinclairs had been deeply intertwined.
Stella shot him a lethal glare. "I want the money in my account within a week."
"You..."
"Don't push me. You just saw what happens when I lose my temper, didn't you?"
She cut him off sharply; she had zero patience for his nonsense.
That foreign soul hadn't been completely brainless—she had actually made the Sinclair family sign an IOU.
However, judging from her memories of the past three years, the Sinclairs never had the slightest intention of repaying it.
The foreign soul occupying her body had endured endless grievances, constantly protecting Julian's ego and never once mentioning the massive debt.
But things were completely different now.
Not only did they have to pay it back, but she would be charging a hefty interest rate as well.
The threat of 'losing her temper' completely drained the color from Julian's face. He glanced down at his throbbing, swollen wrist.
She had literally crushed his bones under her heel!
"A week? What company do you know that can liquidate five hundred million dollars in a single week?"
Besides, when she handed it over, she never explicitly demanded it back!
"Then should I lose my temper again?" Stella smiled at him, a chilling edge to her gaze.
Meeting that terrifying smile, Julian's heart skipped a beat.
Memories of Stella before their marriage flooded his mind. Back then, she had kept the entire Channing household in a constant state of terror.
She had only tamed her wild side after marrying him.
If she truly reverted to the person she was three years ago, it would spell total disaster for the Sinclair family.
Julian's anxiety spiraled wildly out of control.
But a moment later, he remembered that her current situation was vastly different from three years ago...
He reminded her sharply, "Your grandparents who protected you are dead. Do I really need to remind you of your current standing in the Channing family?"
"Three years ago, you severed ties with them just to marry me, promising never to return! If you divorce me, can you even afford the fallout?"
He couldn't divorce her, nor did he dare to.
He was hinting that she shouldn't make a scene, because if she did, she wouldn't have a single ally left.
Hearing Julian's pathetic threat, Stella burst into mocking laughter.
"Divorcing a moron like you? Why wouldn't I be able to afford it?"
As for the Channings...
Vincent Channing devoted all his attention to the twins his mistress had brought home.
He had never cared for Stella.
Due to old grudges, the Channings and the Sinclairs had zero contact outside of business!
That was exactly why Vincent had seized the opportunity three years ago—when the love-struck foreign soul insisted on marrying Julian—to legally banish her from the family.
Not only that.
