On the other end of the line, Stella was unfazed.
She glanced back at the grand gates of the Channing Estate and spoke into the phone, "He is my father, after all. I have to show him some filial piety!"
She said the words 'filial piety' so gently, so sincerely.
Yet anyone listening could hear the unhinged, murderous intent lurking right beneath the surface.
She might not have physically thrown him out!
But Vincent definitely didn't have the stomach to endure her psychotic brand of filial piety...
That kind of devotion was downright lethal!
The man on the line chuckled, his voice dropping into a doting register as he murmured, "Come back early."
Hearing the indulgence in his tone, Stella paused for a moment.
For the past two days, Sebastian had clearly been suppressing some dark, volatile energy.
She wasn't entirely sure who that dark energy was meant to incinerate, but Stella had definitely felt herself caught in the crossfire!
Now, hearing a trace of softness finally return to his voice, she felt herself relax just a fraction.
She hung up the phone, glanced at the chaotic mess of belongings scattered across the ground, and simply stepped right on them.
Designer bags were crushed flat beneath her boots without a second thought!
Her arrogant stride looked exactly as if she were stepping on their very bones, grinding them into dust without the slightest hesitation...
...
Inside the living room.
"Ahhhh—!" Crash!
Beatrice's furious scream, followed by the sound of everything on the coffee table being swept onto the floor and shattering, filled the suffocating air.
This was the first time she had completely lost control in front of Vincent!
She had always been incredibly good at enduring.
But today, Stella had pushed her past her breaking point. The overwhelming humiliation continued to spread through her, making her wish she could tear Stella limb from limb.
She glared viciously at Vincent, gritting her teeth. "I've been married to you for all these years, and you just stood there and let her do this to me!"
She remembered how Stella had just tossed all of their belongings straight out of the ancestral home.
It was a naked, unapologetic humiliation!
And Vincent hadn't even tried to stop her...
Seeing the remnants of her things still scattered outside—including her own underwear mixed in the pile.
Beatrice was going absolutely insane.
Three years...
Ever since the old couple passed away, she had lived here, carrying herself as the undisputed mistress of the Channing family.
But who could tell her what kind of mistress gets publicly humiliated by a junior like this?
And her Xander...!
Remembering that Stella said the Prescotts were already on their way.
Vincent's face turned completely ashen!
Before he could speak, Beatrice snarled, "What right does she have to marry my Xander off to Barnaby Prescott? Who the hell does she think she is!"
Watching Beatrice's drastic transformation, Vincent looked at her as if he were seeing a ghost.
