The Pack's Hacker (by Cooper) novel Chapter 254

Quirin

“Did you want to listen in?” I ask Warren when we hang up from the video call.

“I think it’s always good to be reminded of how truly vicious you can be, Quirin,” he says, just as the people in my life who have taken that viciousness out of me knock on the door.

I stand and walk to the door. Before I reach it, it’s pushed open, and my gaggle of girls comes flooding into the office. “DADDY!” they all say rushing toward me. I’ve learned from one of the best fathers out there how to manage a large group of children, so without breaking stride, I scoop down and pick up all four of my quads, as I continue walking toward the woman who has given me everything I’ve ever wanted in life and so much more.

I lean over the girls in my arms and my son in her arms and kiss my mate, drawing her into the kiss since I don’t have any arms to pull her to me.

When I pull back, I growl softly, letting her know that I’ll be finishing that later tonight. She gives me her sweet, naughty grin that sends desire straight to dick, making it swell painfully in my pants.

“It sounded like you were off the phone and the girls wanted to come say goodnight,” she says.

“We just finished,” I say, kissing the side of each girl’s head in my arms one at a time. Raif begins purring at all of them, knowing that it will help them to fall asleep.

“Did you take out the bad guy, Daddy?”

“I’m about to, Kaylee.”

“So, everything went well?” Kennedy asks as her father walks up with my twins in his arms.

“It did,” I say, kissing the tops of my twins’ heads’ once they’re close enough.

“Can you read us a story, Gwanpa?” Quinlee asks him.

“Grandpa is going to watch your Daddy take down the bad man, then I’ll come up and read you a story,” he says, kissing the heads of the four girls in my arms while Arric purrs at the two in his.

“Can we watch?” Kaylee asks.

I look at Kennedy. She’s better at navigating these sorts of things than I am.

‘How bad will it be?’ she asks in our mind link.

‘I’m sure there will be nasty words and threats, but I’m not going to war over the phone,’ I tell her.

“Pwease, Mommy?” Kendra asks her. I know my pups are young still, but these Kendra and Kaylee are already so much like me that it’s scary. Scary in a good way, in a way that makes me proud. Thankfully, I have family now who can help me make sure that they grow up being able to manage the fight and darkness inside them, unlike me.

“You will sit with your grandfather, and you will be quiet,” she says to my girls, just as Luna Yara walks up.

“Did I hear something about a story before bed?” she asks, smiling at her mate.

“Oh, can we hear the one about the wabbit doctor again, Gwanma?” Quilla asks. Those two twins are already growing up in the hospital with their mother and grandmother. I expect they’ll be just like both women when they grow up and it makes me so proud.

“I have a new one,” she says excitedly, taking Quiana and Kyla from Warren. “It’s about a grasshopper surgeon.”

“YAY!” Quinlee and Quilla say excitedly. I put my four girls down, kiss my son on the head, then kiss my mate with enough passion to let her know I want her naked in our bed when I get upstairs. Then I say goodnight one more time before closing the door and walking over to where Warren is already getting the girls settled on his lap across from my desk.

I crouch down in front of them, making sure I have their attention.

“Daddy is going to be talking to a bad man, someone who was trying to keep Uncle Yorick away from his mate,” I begin. Both my girls growl their cute little pup growls. Warren smiles and kisses the tops of their heads again.

“Daddy is going to yell and probably curse. Raif will probably growl and snarl, but I want you to know that none of that is aimed at the two of you. I don’t want you to be scared. If you get scared, grandpa is here. But just remember, who do I love more than anything else in this world?”

“Mommy,” they both say instantly.

“That is true. Who else?”

“Us,” Kendra says.

“Family,” Kaylee says.

“Exactly. Family is always first. So, no matter how mean Daddy seems, I still love you more than anything else in this world. Right?”

“Right.”

“And no repeating any bad words that Daddy says, or you won’t be allowed to listen in ever again, okay?”

“Okay, Daddy.”

I go to my desk and put my ear buds in. Warren will be able to hear both sides of the conversation, but my girls will only be able to hear mine.

I dial the number that I got from the Tech Team and when someone answers I ask for Alpha Christer.

“Who’s calling?”

“Alpha Quirin.”

“One moment please,” the person says, and I wait. While I wait, I wink at my daughters whose attention is completely focused

on me.

“This is Alpha Christer.”

“Alpha Christer, my name is Alpha Quirin.”

“Alpha, what can I do for you?” he asks.
