Megan
When I got back from my morning run, the entire Academy was buzzing about what had happened. Apparently, Stellan came to force his mark on Cyra and take her home with him. That didn’t go so well for him.
Yorick went with Cyra to claim her pack from her father who is also in a lot of trouble for stealing money or something.
“Alpha Michael carried the unconscious guy out of here over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes,” Talek says.
“Where was he taking him?” I ask.
“Jail, I guess. Alpha Nevaeh has cancelled classes for the next two days, so we get a long weekend.”
“Why would she cancel classes?” I ask, digging into my breakfast.
“Yorick, Piper, Chase, Zach, and Landon all went with Cyra to reclaim her pack,” Katelynn says.
“They all went with her?” I ask. That’s more than a quarter of our class members. No wonder they cancelled classes. “Apparently. I guess they didn’t know how her pack would respond, and they all went for support,” she says.
I look at the group sitting at the table with me. Talek, Katelynn, Helena, and Spencer. He’s new to our group since he and Helena started sleeping together. I don’t see them following me if I were to go challenge my father to take his pack. And even if they came with me, I don’t think any of them, except possibly Talek, would be strong enough to help me keep the pack in line. They’re all here at the Academy, so they’re strong, but none of these guys will become elite fighter that I plan to be.
We finish breakfast and since classes are cancelled, I don’t really have anything to do. The others go off, probably to have sex, but I linger, wondering if I can find out anything about Stellan and what he might have said about me. I’m a little worried that if Alpha Nevaeh knows that I was feeding him information, she might discipline me. It wasn’t like I gave him much. After Katelynn was booted from their group, they were very careful. But Alpha Nevaeh isn’t Alpha Leo. She’s not easily manipulated.
However … I watch as Alpha Michael returns, presumably from wherever he took Stellan. He goes up to Alpha Nevaeh who was obviously waiting for him and they talk for a few moments before he heads inside.
I begin to follow him, wondering if I can get information from him.
He goes to his office, leaving his door partially open. I knock and step inside, closing the door behind me.
“Good morning, Megan. What can I do for you?” he asks.
I tilt my head and step up to him, resting my hands on his chest. “I heard you had a difficult morning, Alpha,” I say, using my best seductive purr.
He raises an eyebrow at me. “And?”
“And, I thought maybe you might need to unwind a bit,” I say, letting my hands slide down to his stomach.
“And what exactly were you thinking?” he asks.
I raise my shoulder negligently. If was wearing a negligée, the strap would have fallen off and given him a show, but I work with what I have.
“I could give you a massage. I could… take the edge off. I could give you an outlet to work off all that excess energy,” I say, looking up at him through my lashes as I bite my lower lip.
A second later he has me against the wall, his body pressed against mine with my arms pinned over my head. I gasp, not used to a man being quite so aggressive and forceful, but I like it.
He leans in to kiss me, and I lift my head, giving him permission. Just before his lips touch mine, he stops.
“You disappoint me, Megan.”
I frown, looking into his eyes. Rather than being full of lust, they’re full of disappointment.
