The Pack's Luna: The Pack Series Book 4 novel Chapter 374

Vivienne

When he finally sets me on my feet, he sniffles and quickly swipes his hand across his eyes and nose. I ignore the gesture, turning to Luna Yara.

“Hello, Luna.”

“Vivienne, now that Piper is mated to Henry, you and Gavin are family. You should call me Yara,” she says, pulling me into a hug.

I look at Alpha Quirin who just shrugs. I’ve noticed that when it comes to the Hill women, he has a soft spot that is almost as soft as the one he has for his pups.

“I’m not sure I’d be comfortable with that, Luna,” I tell her.

“Well then, we’ll just have to spend more time together, right Gavin?” she asks, turning and putting his arm around him.

“Absolutely,” he says eagerly.

“And besides, if I’m going to start helping these young women who are on the streets, I’m sure I’ll be seeing more of you,” she says as she expertly turns us to walk inside.

Gavin wraps an arm around my shoulders, obviously not wanting to leave me behind.

” I just knew everything would be fine between them,”Luna Yara murmurs. 1 glance at her, but she doesn’t seem to realize she spoke out loud. Both Gavin and Alpha Quirin Just grin.

“You got here just in time for dinner,” Quirin says.

“Oh, how wonderful. I can’t wait to see my grandpups,” she says, just as the oldest six grandpups squeal in happiness and race to see her.

She releases Gavin to squat down and kiss all of them before turning to us. “I thought I’d let the two of you catch up this evening while I spend time with my grandpups.

But tomorrow, l’d like to speak with you, Vivienne.”

“Of course, Luna.”

“Yara,” she says, before standing to look at Quirin. “Did you put Gavin on the Alpha floor, Quirin?”

“Hell no. I’m sure he wants to get some sleep tonight and my pups don’t let anyone sleep,” he says, grinning at the pups that are all clinging to their grandmother.

“Daddy!” the quads complain, making him grin even wider.

“There’s a room beside Vivienne’s, Gavin. If you’re not comfortable there, we’ll find somewhere else for you to sleep,” he says.

“I’m sure it will be fine,” he says.

“How about a movie night tonight, girls?” Luna Yara asks.”With popcorn?”

“And candy?”

“Limited candy,” Alpha Quirin says as Luna.Kennedy comes up to greet her mother.

“Come on, let’s go get some food and then we can catch up,” I say to Gavin, leading him away while Yara talks to her family.

We get our food, then I find a spot where the two of us can have some privacy to talk. I watch as he picks at his food.

“You can ask me anything, Gavin, as long as you’re okay with getting an honest answer, no matter how painful it

– might be,” I say gently.

Maybe it’s because he’s the youngest, or maybe it’s because he’s always been the most kind of the brothers, but I’ve always felt maternal toward Gavin. Seeing him with Luna Yara has only reinforced how much Gavin missed out by not having a mother in his life.

“You saw our father kill your mother?” he asks, looking up at me.

“Yes.”

“And Grady was there? He saw it too?”

“Yes.”

“Has he killed anyone?”

” don’t know. But, you know I’m going out on the streets to try and find anyone that they’ve hurt and also to get as many of these she-wolves and their pups off the streets as possible, right?”

“Yes.”

” don’t know what I’m going to find, Gavin. As of right now, I don’t think Gage was involved, but I may find out otherwise. I may find out that our father and brother have been doing this for years. Even if Grady hasn’t, I’m confident that our father has been.”
