Chapter 128

Daniel’s POV

“Olivia,” I called her name for the third time, and still no response.

I had Wolf and a prospect drive me to pick up Olivia for lunch. Mike and I had agreed a few weeks

back that no member of the Knights, especially ranked members, was to go anywhere without a two–man escort. It applied to our families as well. This other club has so far been posturing around us. We are not showing our hand though. We do know that the police have been trying to catch them for low–level dealing in the area, but it’s hard to catch them. Motorbikes can disappear easily if you know where to go. They have been scouting the city for a while now, so it is possible they

have been finding them.

“Carnage, what’s going on?” Wolf asked.

“Call Prez, get him to get my parents ready. I need to call Gold,” I replied.

“Yes, sir,” Wolf said, pulling his phone from his pocket.

“Olivia, my queen, hold on. I am calling your dad,” I said.

I called Gold, and he answered on the first ring. “What is going on, Carnage?”

“Are you at work?” I asked, not wasting any time.

“I am, but I am with Allison and Darren in my office having lunch,” Gold responded.

“Get to Olivia’s office now! We were on the phone, and she said she wasn’t feeling well. I heard a glass break and now she is not responding. We are still ten minutes away, stuck in traffic.” I spoke fast, but I could already hear him moving.

“I am on my way there now. Stay on the phone. Tell the prospect to floor it,” Gold said, as a ding

sounded from the elevator.

I knew he was on the floor below Olivia’s office, so it would not take him long to get there.

“Prospect, floor it, as soon as you get through this traffic,” I said, feeling more worried now.

Another ding sounded on the phone. I knew Gold was on her floor. “Mr Anderson, I don’t know what happened. I have 911 on the phone, they are on the way. I heard a glass break and then a thud, I came in and found her passed out.” That must be Mrs Willis, Olivia’s assistant.

“Did you hear that, Daniel?” Gold asked.

I nodded, and then remembered I couldn’t see me. “Yes, I did. Prospect, you fucking floor it now.

Chapter 128

What is the ETA on the ambulance, Gold?”

beard Gold ask Mrs Willis, she called something that I couldn’t hear. “Five minutes roughly,” Gold

said.

“I will arrive roughly around the same time. I will bring them up,” I responded. “Is she okay?”

“She is still unconscious. Cuts to her arm, looks like glass that smashed cut her arm. She is breathing and very pale. Has she been eating fine?” he asked.

“She has been eating fine,” I replied.

“Her pulse is strong. It has to be something to do with her eating,” he whispered.

I knew she would have problems with eating because of the starvation she endured when she was younger thanks to her biological mother. But I have never seen it. She always eats. Heck, she would remind me to eat when I get busy. She never forgets. Has she been making herself sick

without me noticing?

I ran my hand through my hair, tugging on it a little bit. “There is the ambulance,” Wolf called out.

I looked and they were just unloading the stretcher. The prospect stopped the car, and I jumped out. “Gold, the ambulance is here. I will bring them up.”

I ran over to the EMTS. “You, guys, here for a woman who passed out?” I asked.

“Yes, sir, we are,” one of them said.

“The woman is my wife. I was on the phone when it happened. I can show you the way to her,” I responded, glancing between the two EMTs.

“Lead the way. Perhaps you can explain what you know about your wife’s condition,” the older one

said.

I nodded, and led them inside the Anderson Tech building. Security saw me with EMTs and didn’t stop me. They never did stop me. I explained everything that I knew. I informed them that I had been away for a few days. I told them before I left, she seemed fine, but she complained of a headache when I called her before she passed out.

We took the elevator up to the floor where her office was. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I ran to her office. I knew the EMTs would follow me. I got there in seconds. The first thing I saw was my wife on the floor, Gold next to her. His fingers on her neck, checking her pulse. “Oh, god,

Gold…”

I ran to Olivia’s side and dropped to my knees beside her, and gripped her hand. “Olivia, my queen, wake up.”

I stroked her head, pressed my lips to her forehead, and whispered, “Wake up, beautiful. Come on,

Olivia.”

One of the EMTs said, “Sir, you need to give us some room to work.”

“I am not leaving my wife’s side, do you understand? Olivia, my queen, wake up,” I said.

She squeezed my hand, as her eyes fluttered open just briefly. “Come on, Olivia, I am right here I am not going anywhere.”

“Sir, please step back,” the EMT said.

Gold grabbed my shoulder and said, “Give them room to work, son. We will stay right here, and you can go in the ambulance with her. I am going to call and tell Wolf to go get Allison and Darren into his car. I will ride with them and follow you in the ambulance.”

1 nodded and moved back, but it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I didn’t want to let go of my wife. I watched the EMTs work, they could see she was slowly becoming responsive, so they got her on a stretcher and began moving her towards the elevator. The IV fluids that they hooked her up to, must have been helping. Mrs Willis handed Olivia’s phone and purse to Gold. “I will take this in the car, you go with her.”

I nodded, and we all ran to the elevator. I managed to grab her hand, and keep hold of it. I hated that I had to let go of her hand when we got to the ambulance. Seeing her responsive was a good sign. But she seems so weak and pale. I really hope she is okay. I hate seeing her like this. She is my life. I can’t lose her. Her being on a hospital stretcher again is not great. It really hurt seeing her like this, because I know I can’t do anything to help her, besides giving her reassurance.

While she was being loaded into the ambulance, Gold said, “Stay with her. We will meet you at the hospital.”

I nodded and climbed into the back of the ambulance, and held on tight to her hand. The door closed and Gold tapped the back of the ambulance. We were on our way. I couldn’t take my eyes off of Olivia. “How long have you been married?” the EMT asked.

“Five years now, since we were eighteen,” I replied.
