Katie and Kenneth’s (Wolf) story- Chapter 4

Katie’s POV-

It felt strange riding on the back of Mike’s bike again, but it felt safe. I felt safe for the first time in years. Carnage was leading, Wolf was on one side of Mike and me. Every time we stopped because of a turn or traffic lights, Wolf was looking at me. I could feel him watching me. Is this how Queenie felt with Carnage always watching her?

I hadn’t been on a motorbike in years, so this was an uncomfortable two–hour ride. When we finally got back to the clubhouse, I struggled to get off the bike. The bruises made my body sore. Add in a two–hour bike ride, and I am sore all over. Mike took his helmet off, and asked, ” Are you okay, Katie?”

“Yeah, well no. My injuries and the fact that I haven’t been on a bike in nearly 10 years, I am a bit stiff,” I replied.

Wolf stepped forward and said, “Would you like me to help?”

Mike stared at Wolf, studying him closely, before saying, “If she is okay with that, then fine. Just be gentle.”

Wolf and Mike turned to look at me. I looked at Wolf and nodded, with a gulp. “Okay,” I

whispered.

“Wrap your arms around my neck,” Wolf said, as he stepped closer.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, as one of his arms wrapped gently around my waist, and his other arm tucked under the leg closest to him. He lifted me up off of the back of Mike’s bike. He set me down on my feet, as I let out a wince. “Are you okay?” Wolf asked.

Mike growled, “I should have brought a fucking car.”

“It’s okay, Mike. It has been so long since I rode a bike, even on the back of a bike. But, Mike, it helped me remember the good old times,” I said.

Mike nodded, “Let’s get you something to drink and let you see Queenie. I am sure you will be more comfortable having her with you when Doc and Allison examine your injuries. I am Queenie will have some information for us already.”

Devil came over to us. Fuck he looked bad. It was like he didn’t give a shit about himself anymore. He is going to get very sick if he isn’t careful. “Everything had been quiet. Queenie had increased security, she hadn’t explained why not to me. She basically said she would cut my balls off if I didn’t do it the moment she asked for the extra security.”

“That sounds like my woman. I better go make sure she is resting,” Carnage chuckled.

“Come on, Katie. Shall we get inside?” Mike asked.

I nodded, and we headed inside. It felt so strange to be back. But I felt like I was at home, and that felt good. There were quite a few new faces, but there were loads of familiar faces. They all greeted me as I entered the clubhouse.

Mike kept walking me to the office, his arm around my shoulders gently guiding me. Carnage had already gone to the office. When we arrived, Carnage was leaning over Queenie with his tongue down her throat. “You, two, haven’t changed one bit,” I chuckled.

“No, they are worse, especially with those pregnancy hormones,” Mike said, before he turned and looked back towards the common room. “Crusher, Wolf, I want you both in here for this.”

Crusher and Wolf walked straight into the office and stood near the wall. Mike closed the door, and asked, “Are you two quite finished?”

Queenie pulled away with a chuckle. “Far from it, but it can wait until he can carry me to our bed. Now, Katie, get your ass here, hug the beached whale.”

Carnage growled, “Don’t call yourself that. You are a sexy woman, you are my sexy woman, bringing our second beautiful child into this world. We will have many moves, because I love seeing you pregnant with my children.”

Queenie shot him a wink before she waved me over to her. I moved over to her, I sat down next to her and hugged her, mindful of her belly. “You are safe now, Katie. Whenever you are ready to talk, I am here,” I said to her.

finally broke and cried into her shoulder. Queenie kept whispering reassurances to me, until I calmed down. I moved back, sat on the couch and wiped my tears away. Crusher had his head down. Mike and Carnage were whispering in the corner of the room, giving us a moment. Wolf, though, hadn’t taken his eyes off of me. I could tell Mike had noticed that.

“Right, what have you found out?” I asked, looking at Queenie.

Everyone turned to look at Queenie. She took a deep breath and said, “Phoenix is coming

home.”

“Really?” Carnage asked.

Queenie nodded, as Mike asked, “Why is she coming home now?”

“I started my research on Alejandro Silva, and I was about ten minutes in when my phone rang. It was Phoenix, she wanted to know why I was researching his name. I explained what happened to Katie, and how he lied about who he was. She told me not to do any more

research, because she is on her way here with all the information we could need. She said to increase security, to not let Katie or me go anywhere alone, and she would explain it all when she gets here,” Queenie explained.

“Why the fuck did she say to you to not go anywhere alone?” Carnage growled.

“Apparently, this all ties in with Vargas and some history of the Phoenix Knights. That is all I

know,” she replied to him.

Mike nodded, “Carnage, given how far long Queenie is, I am not going to ask you to leave her side. If you volunteer to leave her side, should we say Dragon and Gold need to be with her?”

“I will agree to that, but if she needs to leave the club for shopping or whatever, then I am going with her. If she stays at the clubhouse, then I can do whatever I can to help,” Carnage

said.

“Don’t worry, I am only going to the shop once between now and the time I go into delivery. Katie will need to shop for clothing, so we can go together, and you could send an army with

us,” Queenie said.

“That is probably the best. Keeping you both here is the safest option until we know what we are going to do to deal with it all,” Mike said.

“I won’t be restricted, Mike. I have spent six years treading on eggshells, not being able to do things I love, losing… losing…” I broke down, clutching my stomach.

Queenie’s hand shot to her mouth, covering it, as she connected the dots. Mike growled, punching the book case, breaking the shelves as books fell to the ground. “You let that fucking bastard knock you up, and then he beat you and you miscarried.”

Sobs wrecked my body. “How many times?” Mike snarled.
