Olivia’s POV

I was confused, whatever they were saying seemed very important, but thad no idea what they were

actually trying to talk about. Daniel and my dad left so quickly, that I couldn’t ask. Katie chuckled, moving

to my bed where my bags were, “Carnage really wanted to tell you.”

“I could see that. Is that what it is like when church is called?” I asked.

She nodded, “Unless we are at school. School or being on a mission is the only exception to not going to

church.”

I nodded, “What is Daniel going to be telling them?”

“Well, since you have agreed to start being trained to become the treasurer, they need to tell the rest of the crew. But that being said, Carnage wants you. He wants you to be his old lady one day. He needs to tell them that even though he wants you to be his old lady, he won’t stop you from being the club treasurer,”

Katte explained.

I was a little stunned, was he really that serious about me? I mean I really like the sound of it. I really do. Daniel is everything I could ever hope for in a life–long partner. I smiled to myself, as I started unpacking the clothes and shoes that I had brought. Katie unpacked the books. “I think I am falling in love with him,” I

said.

“Have you told him?” she asked.

I shook my head, as Katie smiled, “Tell him when you are ready. But trust me, he is in love with you.”

“I know he said I am the woman he loves, but he hasn’t said ‘I love you‘ to me,” I said.

“He is probably just waiting for you to say the words, or waiting for you to be ready to hear them for him.” She placed my new books on the new bookshelf.

I sighed, “You are right. Baby steps for now.”

“Come on, the old ladies will be excited to see you again. We should get this all packed away quickly,”

Katie said.

I nodded, and hurried to get all my new clothes sorted out. Katie helped me finish up packing everything away. Then we headed down to the clubhouse. The old ladies were already waiting for us, but as we entered, all we were greeted with was a screaming baby. Harmony was crying quietly. Reece was being passed from old lady to old lady. “Beth, what is going on?” Katie asked.

“Reece has colic, and won’t settle for anyone. He is over tired. He kept Harmony and Crusher up all night,” Beth replied.

All the old ladies looked very tired, most had their own children. Others looked like they had horrible headaches. The club whores were in the corner of the room complaining about all the noise. Katie smiled,

Katie walked over to Ember, who was Gunner’s old lady. Gunner got his name because of his rank in the military. He is the tail gunner in the club, as well. Ember was rocking Reece trying to settle him. Ember handed Reece to Katie. She was trying to rock him back and forth, but it wasn’t working. Katie held Reece

in her arms, and tried to rock him some more, but he kept screaming his head off.

“Olivia, let’s get you sat down, honey. I bet you are tired from all that shopping,” Beth said, as she pulled a

chair out for me to sit on.

“Thank you,” I smiled.

“I heard about you wanting to follow in your father’s footsteps, is it true?” Beth asked.

I nodded, “One hundred percent true. I want to follow in his steps. It was the one thing my egg donor always threw in my face, that I was too much like my father. Might as well prove that comment right.”

Harmony chuckled, “Brave woman.”

I turned to look at her, and smiled softly at her, “There is nothing braver than motherhood. It is a trial that deserves its own category. You are braver than you will ever know.”

Harmony brightened up a little after hearing that, but she still looked completely exhausted. I didn’t blame her at all for that. Colic can be a nightmare to deal with in infants.

“How are you feeling?” she asked, concern spreading across her weary face.

“I am feeling quite well considering everything. How are you?” I responded.

“Very well, I need to go and talk with Harmony. Colic can really make you exhausted,” she said.

“If there is anything I can do, I will help,” I offered my help, not that I knew if I could do anything.

Katie looked at me, walked over to me carrying Reece. He was having none of what she was trying to do to settle him. Katie was freaked out, you could see it all over her face. “It is probably best not to hold him, with your ribs being the way they are,” Beth said to me.

“I will be fine. Katie,” I nodded, to say that I would take Reece and try to settle him.

Katie passed Reece to me. His tiny body was so tense, you could feel just how tired he was, even as he continued to wail and flail his arms about in my arms. I tried to rock him. It didn’t work. I stood up, and walked around slowly. It still wasn’t working. I knew I had eyes on me, I could feel it in the way the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.

I took Reece’s hand in mine, his little hand curling around my finger tightly, as I spoke softly, “Reece, little

lion, listen.”

I began singing a song from my childhood, from Lion King 2. It silenced him, he watched me, listening to me sing. I began singing another song from another kids‘ movie straight after. I could hear the sighs of relief and cheers of joy. After a few songs, he started getting tired, so I sang a softer song to lull him to
