Olivia’s POV

As Dad and I headed back to our house so he could dry off, change and head back to church, I could do the same, but to go on my date with Daniel. Dad had his arm wrapped around my shoulder, as we walked side by side home. It was so nice living with him. He was the best parent I could ever have. I just wish I

could have been with him from the moment I was born.

“Did you get hurt at all, pulling that little stunt?” Dad asked.

I shook my head, as I replied, “No, I might be a little sore in the morning, not moved like that in quite a

while.”

“Just let me know if anything changes and I will call Doc around, okay?”

“I promise I will, and I will text you to let you know I am safe with Daniel,” I chuckled.

Dad rolled his eyes, shaking his head, “I know you are safe with that young man. But I do still worry about

you. Given everything we know now, I don’t want you to be out of contact with me for too long.”

“I know that is why I said I would text you. I know you will be worried for the right reasons,” I smiled, hugging him, as we got to the front door.

He hugged me back, before saying, “Go on inside and get ready. He will be here sooner than you think.”

I nodded, and shot off upstairs to get ready for my date with Daniel. I figured casual would be alright. So, blue skinny jeans, a black crop top, with this black lace that covered my abdomen. My black converse shoes and my black leather jacket. I made sure to wear one of my new bra and thong sets from the lingerie store I went to last weekend. I pinned my hair to the side, so that it all flowed down one shoulder. I stuffed my hairbrush and a few other things in my handbag, which I grabbed on my way out.

Daniel was already waiting for me with a bouquet of roses in his arms. He winked at me. “When did you have time to get them?” I asked.

Daniel chuckled, “Now, that would be revealing my secret ways that allow me to surprise you.”

He handed the flowers to me, as my dad carne down the stairs, he shook his head. “You are quick, aren’t you, Carnage?”

“I got to woo your daughter the right way,” Daniel replied.

Dad rolled his eyes again, crossing his arms across his chest. “Let’s go put them in a vase, and then you

can be on your way.”

I followed Dad to get the roses in a vase. Once done, Dad said, “Leave them here and go on your date. You can take them up to your room later.”

“Thanks dad,” I said, pressing a kiss to his cheek and giving him a quick hug.

Chapter 1

Ishot off to Daniel, who took my hand and led me out to his SUV. Dad followed us out, and called out,”

Take care of her, and home before midnight. You both have school in the morning.”

“Sure thing, Gold,” Dantel shouted, as he opened the SUV door for ine, and helped me in.

Daniel closed the door and ran around to the other side, climbing into the driver’s seat. “Ready?”

I nodded, “With you always.”

He started the engine and drove us to the movies. The whole way there, he had his hand on my thigh. It felt possessive and honestly the heat from his hand was spreading up my thigh, igniting my core. My thighs clenched together, which made Daniel smirk though he never took his eyes off of the road. He knew

what he was doing to me.

When he pulled up into the parking lot, he killed the engine and leaned over to kiss me. It was a quick, passionate kiss that said just how much he wanted me. “You have no idea how sexy you look to me right now. Tonight, after the movie, we can go somewhere to be alone and just make out, maybe more,” he

whispered.

“I would love that,” I nodded, and honestly, I just wanted to be alone with him.

We got out the SUV, and headed into the movies, with our arms wrapped around each other, and honestly, I loved every second of it. There was a group of guys hanging around outside, clearly drunk, the manager of the movie theater was outside with what looked like security, so my guess is the guys got kicked out.

Daniel let go of me, so he could pay for the tickets before we could go in. One of the drunk guys grabbed my shoulder, yelling, “Hey sweet cheeks, come spend time with the big boys.”

I grabbed his hand, twisted it from my shoulder, just as Daniel turned and saw what was happening. I had spun around and kneed the guys in the nuts. The drunk guy hunched over briefly. As he held his balls, he tried to take a step towards me. That was when Daniel stepped between me and this drunk guy. Daniel threw one punch to the guy’s jaw, knocking the guy on his ass. Blood sprayed from his mouth. “You ever touch my woman again, and I will break more than your damn jaw,” Daniel yelled, as he flashed his cut, which he had worn under his own leather jacket.

“You are a Phoenix Knight,” one of the other drunk guys said.

I could see the tremble in Daniel’s body, as he struggled with his rage. I could tell the security guards were getting antsy, caught between wanting to do their job and not wanting to get in the way of a Knight protecting his woman. I grabbed his arm and wrapped it around my waist, “Let’s go inside, Daniel. We are on our date. Focus on me,” I whispered, as I pulled his chin to look at me.

The moment his eyes locked on mine, the trembling stopped, and a smile crept across his face. “Okay, my queen. Let’s go inside,” he said, before pressing a kiss to my lips.

We headed inside. Daniel brought us drinks and popcorn, before heading to find our seats. I wasn’t even sure what movie he picked for us to watch. I just hoped it wasn’t too distracting. I just wanted to kiss him. He threw a punch and put a man on his ass, all for touching me. Daniel protected me, it did a number on

“What’s with that look, my queen?” he asked, as he noticed me staring at him when we sat down.

I jumped into his lap, and slammed my lips on to his, wrapping my arms around his neck. He chuckled, wrapping his arms around my waist, so I didn’t slip off, as he kissed me back with an intensity that matched the need building inside me. I pulled away, resting my head on his. “Not that I am complaining, because that was one hell of a kiss, but what was that for?” Daniel asked.
