Chapter 39

Olivia’s POV
I held on tightly to Daniel, knowing it was the only thing that would settle me down. My dad will probably be able to settle me after a while, but the connection between Daniel and me is far stronger than I ever imagined. He was able to tell I needed someone, I needed to be held by someone I love, I needed to feel
safe in his arms.
When I finally settled, Daniel put his mouth near my ear and whispered, “Were you shaking because you were scared or because you were shocked that you were right about being watched?”
I nodded, “It shocked me.”
“You will be okay, because no matter what, I will keep you safe, the club will keep you safe,” Daniel
whispered.
“I know you will,” I smiled.

“Is she okay?” Dad asked Daniel.
Daniel nodded, as I lifted my head from his chest and looked at my Dad. I smiled, “I am just shocked my feeling of being watched was right.”
“It means you have good instincts, and you should keep using them, even train them to work even better,” Dad said, stepping closer to me, pressing a kiss to the top of my hair.
I nodded, as CB said, “I have the name of the person and his address. I will go over his financials and run a full background check on him now. I should have all the information you need by the morning, Prez.”
“Good, we will pay him a visit tomorrow night. For now, Olivia needs to be trained now. So, let’s get today’s training session under way and then early nights for all of us, as it will be late for us all tomorrow,” Prez
said.
“Are we including Olivia in tomorrow?” Dad asked.

Prez and Dad exchanged looks like they were having a private conversation. Prez is thinking that I need to be involved because I am the future Treasurer. Something Dad understands, but at the same time he wants to protect me from the nastier side of the club. He wants me to push forward into the darker things they have to do slowly. But this man was watching me. If anyone should find out why, it should be me.
“Dad, this is part of being in the club. Plus, he could say something that could help me connect the dots to Harry and his brother, and their plan for me,” I said, stepping away from Daniel.
“You do not do anything to him, and we may have to torture him, so if that gets too gruesome, then no one will think any less of you if you have to leave,” Dad responded, his eyes narrowing.
I nodded, “I am sure I will be fine. My egg donor always said I was too much like you. If you can handle it,
then I am sure I can.”
Chapter 39-
“Then it is settled, you will be there, but you do everything Prez orders of you,” Dad said.
“will,” I promised.

Prez ordered everyone to get to training. It was something they did together as a club. I had a gym bag in my dad’s room here at the clubhouse, so I went and changed into my gym clothing. A sports bra and sports leggings. As much as dad was going to hate this outfit, these guys needed to get used to seeing me like this, because this is what I preferred to work out in. I knew it was going to drive Daniel crazy as
well.
I tied my hair up in a high ponytail, and headed to the clubhouse’s gym, which is where all the guys had gone. I walked into the gym, drawing the immediate attention of everyone in the room. A few whistles sounded in my direction, just before a loud impact sounded, before a crash. All eyes snapped in the direction of the punching bag that had just flown off the hook, from the impact of the punch that had been delivered on to the bag. My eyes tracked to where the punching bag had once hung, but he was already marching towards me. Daniel. His eyes were blazing in a mix of anger, lust and jealousy. His arms locked around my waist pulling me flush against him. He leaned in close to my ear and growled, “Why are you wearing something this sexy in a room full of men?”
I chuckled, pulling back to meet his gaze, “This is what I would normally wear to work out in, just be grateful it isn’t what I would have worn when doing gymnastics, because it is much tighter and much more
revealing.”
Daniel groaned, “Don’t you dare. Come on, let’s get you over to our dads. If people keep staring at you though, they are going to find themselves losing an eye.”
He said the last part loud enough so that everyone in the gym could hear him, so that they would stop staring at me. Gazes were diverted, as Daniel led me over to his dad and my dad. Prez, Dragon and my dad were all talking away to each other, he had his back to us. My dad groaned, “I don’t like that she has barely healed and has to start training already.”
“We don’t have to go too crazy right now. We can teach her a few self–defense moves, and show her how to fire a gun, wield a knife, maybe throw a knife. But judging by that punch she threw early, the way she adjusted her feet all within a split second, I would say she is a natural fighter. She just needs a bit of training in offensive and defensive moves, so she can counteract attacks,” Prez responded.
“She has only just healed enough to return to school,” Dad sighed.
“Yet, that is where they could most easily get to me. You all know that, or you wouldn’t have sent the extra men or come to pick me up from school,” I interrupted their conversation.
They turned to see me standing beside Daniel, so I continued, “I know you are worried, Dad. But I can’t be a weak link in this club. I need to train so that I can be ready for whatever and whenever they decide to try
and make their move.”
“Princess, you are not a weak link,” Dad said.
“Because you will be training and I will learn, and then I won’t be a weak link. Would you guys rather teach
