Chapter 41

Olivia’s POV-

I had been on and off shaking like a leaf today, nervous about tonight. I know Daniel has noticed it, he has been staying very close to me the whole day, while we have been at school. Tonight the Knights are going hunting, they are going to find the one who was watching me outside the school, and they are going to abduct and interrogate him. I am going with them. This will be my first ever Phoenix Knight job.

When we finished school, Daniel took me straight home. I was going to change. Dad had said that Daniel would need to take me straight home so that I could change into some all–black clothing. Daniel dropped me off, took his bike home, and said he would return to meet me. I raced inside and up to my room, quickly getting dressed in thermal black leggings, a long–sleeve black T–shirt, and black leather boots. I decided on my thermal leggings, because it was getting colder, and tonight was meant to be freezing. I tied my hair up in a tight bun, which was not what I normally would do, but given what could be happening, I didn’t want to leave my hair down nor in a ponytail. I grabbed my leather jacket and cut before making my way downstairs, when there was a knock on the door. I rushed over to the door, to find Daniel there, dressed in all black with his own leather jacket and cut on.

Daniel’s eyes blazed as they roamed my body, seeing me in tight leggings for the first time. I giggled, and

spun slowly, “So, is this the right kind of outfit for what we are doing tonight?”

He didn’t say anything. As I turned back to face him, he growled, “Turn back around, let me see that ass

again.”

I smirked, the moment I did turn around, I decided to shake my ass a little. Got to tease him. Daniel

stepped inside, wrapping his arms around me, and growled, “How am I going to keep my hands to myself,

when your ass looks so good in leggings.”

“Then you better get a feel of it now, before we leave for the clubhouse,” I purred.

Daniel spun me around, slamming his lips to mine, as his hand slipped from my hips, grabbing my ass and squeezing firmly. A moan slipped from my lips, as his tongue slipped into my mouth. He squeezed my ass again, before pulling away from my lips and resting his head on mine, his hands, shipping away. “You, my Queen, have driven me crazy. You have no idea how fine your ass looks in these leggings.”

I giggled, “I can imagine.”

“We need to go, but I have a surprise for you later,” Daniel told me.

I nodded, before we left my house, locking the door behind us, and headed towards the clubhouse. Daniel kept his arm firmly wrapped around my waist, as he guided me into church. All the Knights were there waiting for us. You could tell who was coming on the mission tonight. They were dressed in black with their cuts on top. Including myself, Daniel, and Dad, there was also going to be Prez, Dragon, Mike, Phoenix, Devil, and 2 more Knights coming with us to capture the man who had been watching me from

outside the school.

Chapter 4L-

Daniel and I took our seats next to Mike. Dad was watching me. I flashed him a reassuring smile. I knew he was worried about this mission, about me being around them all while they took care of business. They were worried I would be able to handle an abduction and torture for information.

Prez banged his fist, calling the start to church. “You all know what is happening tonight. CB, what did you find out about the man that was watching Olivia?”

CB stood up and began speaking, “His name is John Jefferson. He is actually a private detective, and not a good one at that. He lost his license. He got into gambling and that is still a very large ongoing problem for him, going by his financials. He is clearly not very good at gambling. He has known connections to both a gun runner and drug dealers.”

“Why did he lose his license?” Dad asked.

“He lost it because, instead of reporting a sexual assault of someone who turned out to be a minor, and a man that he was investigating, he recorded it. His lawyer was a high–end lawyer, and got it reduced to time served and permanent loss of license because he didn’t know. The man he was investigating wanted it covered up,” CB replied.

A scoff slipped my lips, which drew everyone’s attention to me. They were waiting for me to say

something. I sighed, “CB, can I borrow your computer?”

CB smirked at me, seeing the glint in my eye. He knew Nova had just awakened. He grabbed his laptop

and handed it to me. “Thank you, and continue on with what you were saying, I am listening.”

I opened his laptop and began typing away. Hacking into this John Jefferson’s computer systems was a piece of cake. It took me barely a couple of minutes. I searched his case files and found the client who had hired him and what they were hiring him to do. He was hired to follow a man around because the client wanted proof of his infidelity, so she could divorce him and take everything that belonged to the man. She never received the proof. So, the first thing I did was send the entire contents to her, and with a short message about her husband’s actions. Then I sent it to federal law enforcement, specifically to the crimes against children division. I had sent them things from the dark web before. It was all done anonymously, and they could not trace it, not that they could ever trace it even with the brilliant minds that they hired in the FBI. I sent a detailed report and a still of the footage showing this man raping a minor, to all the news stations across the state and country. Let them decide if it is worth running that a man got

his crime covered up.

During all my tapping away on the computer to get this done, I listened to everything that had been said. More discussion on John Jefferson, including his phobia of dogs. The rest of the knights were sent to their stations. Many were staying here to ensure the security of the clubhouse. Those that were coming swarmed around me to see what I had been doing, even CB had come over to see what I was doing.

“Princess, are you finished?” Dad inquired.

I chuckled, “Finished blowing a man’s life up, yep.”

The men in the room looked confused. “What did you do, Princess?”

“Sent the evidence that his wife needed to divorce him, sent it to federal law enforcement anonymously, and sent evidence of his crime and cover up to every single news outlet in the state and country. His life is about to end,” I smirked.

CB chuckled, “Classic Nova move.”

I closed his laptop and handed it back to him. “Did you hear everything I said?”

I nodded, which made Prez chuckle, “Good, now we can move on to the plan.”

“The plan is simple, he has a fire escape and his front door. Four of us will go in through the front door, the other four will take up points around the building, including along the fire escape. You will be wearing masks, and above all you do not fire a gun unless you have to Remember this is a neighborhood with kids, so we do not want to frighten children with unnecessary gunfire. It is why we do it at night. We are going there now. While there is daylight, we will watch and wait. Make sure he is inside and then, when night falls, we grab him and bring him here. Standard mission. He has no licensed weapons, but that doesn’t mean he won’t have unlicensed weapons,” Dragon explained, as three of the Knights, Fireball, Atom and Surge, placed three separate duffle bags on the table.

They began emptying the contents. Surge is banned from touching anything electrical, because he caused

a surge in the power several times, the first time he got knocked unconscious from it. So that is where he

got his road name from, a constant reminder that he is a danger with electrical power. One bag had

weapons within guns and knives. Another had masks, and the last bag had enough bulletproof vests in it

for everyone.

Everyone stood up and I followed. I took my leather jacket and cut off, before grabbing a vest. I looked at it, which made Dad chuckle, “Do you need help, Princess?”

I gave him a look that said, “Do I look stupid?” While staring at him like that, I pulled the bulletproof vest on and done it up, without even breaking eye contact with him. He kept a neutral face, but the glint of pride in his eyes said it all. I grabbed one of the knives that had a smaller belt on it. Fireball chuckled, “That is for your leg, it wouldn’t go around your hips.”

I rolled my eyes, as I buckled the belt around my thigh. “What gave that away, Fireball? Everyone can see

that I am blessed with curves.”

Dad and Daniel both growled in warning at everyone, daring them not to look at me. It made me chuckle. I grabbed one of the handguns, and Dad took it from me. “You are not having a gun, until I have trained you how to use it properly.”

“Dad, let me show you what I know about guns, so you know where to start on training me,” I responded.

His eyes narrowed, as he held it out to me. I checked the safety, flicked it off and then on. “Safety.” I

whispered.

I pulled the barrel back to check the chamber, as I said, “Chamber is empty.”
