Chapter 68
Olivia’s POV-
I was overwhelmed by the flashing of the cameras, it was my first time being in front of the press like that. But 1 wasn’t going to back down. I wasn’t going to be shy in front of them. I walked towards my dad, with
my head held high, gripping Daniel’s hand tightly, knowing he would be a major source of comfort right now. He didn’t once let go, even helping me up the steps of the stage. My dad smiled at me, holding his hand out to me. I took it, as Daniel let go of my hand, standing behind my dad and me with Dragon and
Gunner.
“I would like to introduce you all to my beautiful daughter, and heiress to my company and fortune, Olivia
Anderson,” Dad said, staring out at the press.
“How do you have a grown daughter already, Mr Anderson?” A man in the press asked.
“Because my ex and my daughter’s mother, left me while in the very early stages of pregnancy. I didn’t
know she even existed, until my best friend’s son brought her to a family gathering as his girlfriend. I knew
she was my daughter the moment I saw her. We did a DNA test, and it proved I was her father. Since then,
she has been living with me,” Dad explained.
“Miss Anderson, did you not know anything about who your father was? He is a public figure. Surely you
would have seen him,” a woman in the press asked me.
I glanced towards her, and smiled, “And, should a child not trust her mother? She lied to me my whole life. But she was all I ever knew, the only parent I thought had, until I met my dad. What matters now, is not
the past, but the future I will build beside my father, not only in our personal lives, but for the company.
That is all that matters.”
“Wise words, princess,” Dad smiled at me.
“But, what of your boyfriend? Who is he?” Another woman in the press asked.
Dad and I turned to Daniel. Dad nodded, giving Daniel the all clear to step forward. Daniel stepped forward, wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. I smiled up at Daniel, and he returned my smile, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to my lips, making the cameras flash like crazy. When he
pulled away, I said, “This is Daniel Phillips, the man I fell in love with at first sight, when we met in
freshmen year of school.”
“Daniel Phillips, the wealthiest investor under the age of twenty?” a surprised reporter gasped.
“I am indeed that Daniel Phillips. But right now, I am only a man here to support his girlfriend, the woman I love,” Daniel’s confident voice spoke loud enough for everyone present to hear.
“Before anyone asks any more questions, my daughter and Mr Phillips have had a long day at school, and we have a meeting to get to before we can have dinner, so if you will excuse us all. Thank you for coming today,” Dad smiled out at the crowd, before turning around and nodding to the guys that were with us.

Dragon, Gunner, Atom, and Blank swarmed around us, before we made our way back to the limo. We moved together, the press tried to swarm around us and ask more questions, not that Gunner, Atom, or Blank let them near us. Dad and Daniel both shielded me. Not that I needed it. Crusher and the prospect that came with us were ready with the limo door opened. Daniel and climbed in first, followed closely by my dad and Dragon. Gunner followed Atom and Blank to another car, while Crusher and the prospect went
to the front seats to drive the limo.
The moment the limo started to move, I let out a breath. I hadn’t realized I was holding. Daniel chuckled next to me. I rolled my eyes, “So, you didn’t tell me your name was on a list.”
“Ah, yeah, the wealthiest investors under twenty list. Annoying publication really. hate that kind of thing. Next it will be the most handsome wealthy men under twenty–fives in the city, I hear,” he chuckled.
“Oh, god. If I get put on one of those ranking lists, someone shoot me,” I chuckled.
“It will likely happen, princess. I still get put on the bachelors list every year. Then women start throwing themselves at me, and it’s annoying as hell,” Dad interjected.
“You should start dating, dad. I know I am here now, but you deserve happiness in your life too. A wife
beside you,” I said.
“Not now, and probably not ever. Most women will want to have kids with me, and I can’t have any more
kids, so I will happily stick with you being the only lady in my life. You are all the family I need, princess,” Dad said, the emotions in his tone really showed the pain he had experienced due to other women.
I nodded and sighed, “So, how do you think it went? Will he see it?”
“Well, that is going to be on the 6 o’clock news and the 10 o’clock news. It will be in the papers tomorrow and probably in the business journals gossip sections. So, he mostly definitely will see it. But as for how it
went. Princess, you did amazing. You just showed wisdom beyond your years in front of those cameras,”
Dad smiled, pride shining brightly in his eyes.
“I had to impress everyone. First impressions and everything,” I said.
“Well, you sure impressed me, Princess. I am proud of you,” he smiled at me.
“Thanks, Dad,” I smiled back at him, before resting my head on Daniel’s shoulder.
Daniel pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “Now, we just need to worry about school and your birthday,” Daniel whispered.
“Then the charity bike ride. That is going to be fun,” I beamed a little too excitedly.
It had been a little while since I had actually gotten out on my own bike, because of school. I always rode backpack to school on the back of Daniel’s bike, which I loved doing. But we are in school five days a week, and I was in lockdown this past weekend. I haven’t had a chance to ride my bike in a while. Plus, this will be my first charity bike ride. A very exciting moment for me.
“Excited, are you?” Daniel asked.

nodded, “It’s been a while since I rode my own bike and this is my first charity bike ride. Speaking of
which, Dad, I need to go home on Thursday and bake in the kitchen. I don’t really want to be baking on my birthday. I promised I would bake for the bake sale the old ladies are doing.”
“Write me a list of what you need, and I will go and get it for you while you are at school,” Dad said, pulling
his phone out.
“I will,” I nodded, wondering what he was going to do on his phone.
“So, I didn’t think we had another meeting today,” Daniel commented, looking at his dad.
