Daniel’s POV-

After seeing that Olivia and Megan were safely in my room, I went with Mike and Benny to get some beers.

Benny seemed pretty at home with all of us. Mike handed me a beer, and asked, “How are you doing?”

I knew why he was asking me. My woman had just been sent flowers as a fucking message to taunt her, to

threaten her. I sighed, “Pissed, like rampage level pissed, but it’s my woman’s birthday. I will not let my

anger get the better of me tonight. She has never had a birthday party before, or nearly as many presents

as she has received today.”

“Damn, Carnage. I didn’t think you had a heart in there. All the time at school, you just seemed like the

silent, brooding type,” Benny chuckled, opening his beer.

“I was, because I didn’t think I could ever have her, or that she would ever want me. But all we want is

each other,” I said.

Benny patted my shoulder as he smiled, “You know when you asked me to help persuade Olivia to talk to

you that day, so you could help her. I honestly had my doubts about where you were going to be right for

her, whether you were truly going to bring the light back in her eyes. But now, I have seen her eyes sparkle

so much because of you, and a smile back on her face that I hadn’t seen in a while. Carnage, you are a

good man for her. Fight for what you have with her. It’s rare.”

“Thank you, Benny. Coming from her best friend, that means a lot,” I smiled at him.

Honestly, it did mean so much hearing that. It meant I was doing everything right to put a smile on the face of the only woman for me. “Come on, let’s go introduce Benny to Shovel,” Mike said.

I nodded, and we headed off in search of Shovel. We were able to find him pretty much straight away. We made introductions, and Shovel seemed impressed by Benny. He said he would talk to Prez about taking Benny under his wing in his company while Benny prospects at the club. It made Benny happy. They exchanged contact information, so that Shovel could set up a meeting between him, Prez and Benny. Shovel chuckled, handing Benny’s phone back to him, “You just got a text from a “My lady.” She seems

quite demanding.”

Benny’s cheeks turned a light hue of pink, as he quickly took his phone and began to check his texts. Mike

and I chuckled, as I asked, “Megan texting you?”

Benny nodded, his eyes widening at the text on his screen, “Yeah, and she is in so much trouble later.”

A smirk played across his lips, as he was trying to take deep calming breaths. I leaned over and glanced at the text. Mike had done the same thing. I saw the message and knew that Olivia and Megan had been

talking away. “I wonder where she got that idea from,” Benny muttered.

I chuckled, “That would be my doing. It seems my queen has been telling Megan of our antics this

morning.”

<Chapter 73

“You woke Queenie up like that this morning,” Mike asked.

I nodded, “Yes, I did. I promised her lots of surprises for her birthday, so what better than a pleasurable

experience for us both.”

“You seriously woke her up by eating her out,” Benny gasped.

“I did, and I am definitely going to do it again,” I smirked, looking down, licking my lips.

Mike and Benny chuckled, shaking their heads. Benny sighed, “So, when is this party starting? I need to

change out of these leathers.”

“Yeah you do, you stick out like a sore thumb in here,” Mike chuckled.

“Let’s go have a smoke, and then I will take you to the room saved for you and Megan to stay in tonight,” I

said.

Benny and Mike nodded, and we headed out to where Mike and I usually smoke and drink beers. Benny pulled up an extra chair, before sitting down. I pulled out my smokes as I sat down, and offered one to Benny. He shook his head, and said, “No, thank you. My sperm donor used to smoke, and I swore I would

never be like that asshole.”

“You still up for joining us on this charity bike ride tomorrow?” Mike asked Benny, as he snatched my

lighter and lit his smoke, before chucking my lighter back at me.

I chuckled, lighting my own smoke, “Mike, you need to get yourself a new lighter.”

Mike shrugged, as Benny chuckled, but nodded, “Yes, will join you. The charity you are raising funds for,

really helped my mum and me secure a decent lawyer, so I wouldn’t get banged up in prison for what I did.

“And, what did a small thing like you do to nearly end up in prison?” Animal asked, raising an eyebrow, with

Claw next to him.

Jesus, this guy again. I mean I get why he was saying, compared to the rest of us, Benny looked very unintimidating. I sighed, “Animal, you know the beating my woman gave you for groping her ass. Well, remember that beating because if you insult a guy that she sees as a brother, she won’t hold back, and I

won’t pull her off of you.”

“Ah, is this young lad under Queenie’s protection?” Claw asked.

We nodded. Benny chuckled, “She is only doing that because she has never seen my bad side. I don’t even

think Megan has seen me angry before. Protective yes, but angry no. But to answer your question, Animal, my sperm donor, was an abusive asshole that beat on my mother every day, when I was thirteen, I came home, found my mother in a bloody beaten pulp on the floor, and my sperm donor was walking towards her with a baseball bat. I lost my shit, and beat him to half to death. He was in a coma for ages before being taken to prison, for what he did to my mother. I got off with self–defense, because he admitted he

was going to kill my mother.”

Mike chuckled, “A warrior for the right reasons.”

Benny nodded, as I said, “The path of a true Knight. Benny, we will get you trained up, and you are going to

be one badass Knight.”

“I am looking forward to it,” Benny smiled, drinking from his beer.

I dropped my smoke in the ashtray, said, “Come on, Benny. I will show you your room and you can change

quickly. I am sure the ladies will be done soon,”

Benny nodded, and we stood up. I led him to his bike, so he could grab his bag, and then took him to the

room he would share with Megan tonight. I had specifically asked for them to come tomorrow on the bike

ride, and for them to be allowed to stay the night. I don’t even think Olivia knew yet, so that was another

surprise for her, which I will tell her shortly, when she has finished getting changed.

I showed Benny the room, and said, handing him a piece of paper, “There is a shower through that door

over there, and this is the code to the room.”

“Thank you for doing this, Carnage. You know, I am curious as to why you were doing all this for me and Megan,” Benny said.

“Truthfully, I want you there tomorrow for my woman. I am going to propose to her,” I replied.
