Chapter 84
Olivia’s POV-

Daniel had gone for a shower, leaving me to sleep in for a little bit longer, but the moment he left the bed I
was awake. I missed his warmth, the safety I felt just by having him beside me. I have been staring at the
engagement ring that is now sitting on my finger. I honestly couldn’t believe he proposed to me in that
way. My heart stopped for a second when the fireworks lit up the night sky, asking me to marry him. Then
his little speech he gave me down on one knee, it brought tears to my eyes. It also shocked me when I
saw a single tear sliding down his cheek. I have never seen him cry ever.
“Olivia… Olivia… my queen,” Daniel’s voice called out to me.
My gaze snapped up to meet his worried expression. Only to roam back down, as I saw that he was still
just in a towel. “My eyes are up here, gorgeous,” he chuckled, gesturing to his face with his hands.
I blushed, and looked away. He took my hand, and asked, “Are you okay, my queen? You seemed very lost
in thought.”
“I am alright. I was thinking about last night, and how we are engaged to be married,” I smiled at him.
“You had me worried then, you didn’t respond to your name,” Daniel said.
“I am sorry, I made you worry. I just can’t stop thinking about it,” I whispered.
“Me either. I keep thinking about our wedding,” he admitted.
“When would you want to get married?” I asked.
“Well, your dad would ideally like us to have a long engagement, but I told him when I asked for his
blessing that I would marry you when you are ready, whether that is in a week from now or a year from
now. I wasn’t joking when I said I would take you to the courthouse right now,” he replied.
“Maybe next year, with all the planning that we will have to do
Daniel reached up and stroked my cheek, and smiled, “Then next year it will be. Go take a quick shower,
then we can go and get breakfast. Prez has said no training today, so we can relax today.”
I nodded, and headed off to get showered. After a quick shower, I dressed in a pair of leggings and a
T–shirt with my cut over the top. With all the bikers from all the other MCs, I knew my dad and Daniel would not like me to be seen without my cut on, especially with them here. They are far too protective of
me to allow that.
Breakfast was incredibly lively today, which wasn’t unusual. It was still very early though, and most were still in bed asleep. So, despite it being lively, many still had not woken up yet. After yesterday, everyone seemed in good spirits. I think people had loved the charity event, and others were now, discussing what Daniel and I were going to do about our wedding.
Katie sat down next to me and said, “I am so jealous. But you know full well that bitch is going to say

something when we go to school tornorrow. Whatever you do, do not look at social media.”

“Let me guess the bitch and her goon squad are running their mouths all over social media,” I said.
“Well, only Sarah and Dana. The other two that usually hang with them, have really backed off. I heard Gold
has business deals with the dads of those two. Deals that would fuck their companies up if they lost them,
“Katie replied.
“That doesn’t surprise me,” I said.
Katie opened her mouth to say something when the whole atmosphere in the room changed. Daniel’s
hand tightened on my thigh ever so slightly, before relaxing. I followed everyone’s gazes, and saw Prez
entering with two police detectives. They approached us, they were looking straight at me. I continued
eating, if I am honest, I was unbothered by the present of the police here. Prez looked concerned about why they were here.
“Miss Olivia Anderson, formerly Olivia Jones,” one of the detectives said.
I nodded, “That is my name. What is this all about?”
“I am Detective Peters, and this is Detective Luffet. Is there somewhere private that we can talk?”
Detective Peters asked, gesturing from himself to the other detective as he spoke.
“Whatever you need to discuss with me, can be discussed here. This lot, though an odd bunch, are my
family. I would also like to stay with my fiancé,” I said, gesturing to everyone, and then to Daniel.
He nodded and gulped, his face becoming sorrowful. “We regret to inform you that your mother, Angela
Jones, was found dead this morning.”
Everyone froze, all gazes shifting to me. I think everyone was bracing for tears, for a breakdown, maybe even denial. But nothing, I felt nothing. I couldn’t even muster feeling sad for the woman who gave me life.
“Given that you are detectives, I presume you are looking at her death as murder,” I responded, my voice unusually calm.
“Yes, you are correct. We need to ask you a couple questions. I have to say you are the first eighteen–year–old I have informed about the loss of a parent, and I was expecting something quite
different,” Detective Luffet said.
I shrugged, “You thought I would faint, or maybe breakdown, or be in denial.”
They nodded. I sighed, “You have read her file, which means you will see the charges of child neglect and child abuse on her record. If you spent the last ten years of your life suffering at the hands of the woman who should have protected you, would you react any differently to how I am acting? She stopped being my mother years ago, because she is not fit to hold that title. The first day she starved me, the first time she belittled me, tried to make me feel less of the woman I am, the first time she stood by and watched while her husband beat me. Those moments she lost the right to be called my mother. Now, ask your questions, so I can go do my homework. I wouldn’t want my grades to slip.”
Their eyebrows had reached their hairlines. Prez had slipped his hand over his mouth, it was clear he was

trying to hide his smirk. Detective Peters cleared his throat first, “Well, given what you just said, I want to
ask you, where were you last night between the hours of 10pm and 2am?”
Daniel growled next to me, the implications of what the detective had just asked hit everyone. I chuckled, “Let’s see. We got home at around 9pm last night. We had a very late dinner. Then at 9:55pm I headed to
my room with my fiancé, Daniel. think it was about 3am before we finally crashed out.”
“What did you do in that time? I know kids have the habit of sneaking out. My son has done it enough,”
Detective Peters asked.
“I was screaming Daniel’s name, as he fucked me senseless,” I smirked, looking at Daniel.
Daniel raised an eyebrow at me, as more men around us began to cover their mouths. “Don’t you raise that
eyebrow at me, you know it’s true,” I smiled at Daniel.
“Oh, I do,” Daniel smirked, eye–fucking me.
