Chapter 88

Vargas‘ POV-

WHAT THE FUCKING HELD IS GOING ON!!

My bank accounts, ALL of them, were emptied. Every single fucking dime is gone. The banks say no hack was detected in any of their systems. But how the fuck did all my billions of dollars just vanish into thin air, if it wasn’t because someone hacked into the systems. Who the fuck did this?

That was when my right–hand man, Antonio, came running into my office and said, “Boss, we go a major situation.”

“Yeah, we fucking do. All my bank accounts have been drained, all of them,” I growled, slamming my fist down on the desk.

Antonio shook his head, “Okay, that is another situation to add to this major situation. All your gun storage facilities are being raided by the police. Negative information that we had buried on all your legitimate business has been leaked. Stock prices have plummeted.”

I snatched my glass from the desk in front of me and threw it across the room. It exploded, glass shattering everywhere, as I yelled, “What the fuck is going on?”

“Maybe we should go speak with our hacker. He might have an idea of what is going on,” Antonio suggested.

I nodded, “Let’s go.”

Antonio and I rushed off towards the computer room in the basement of this house I own. Our hacker’s name is Fabio. He is a recluse, and quite probably one of the best hackers I have ever met. They are damn near impossible to find. Some of the hackers are just so very good at. The very best out there, leave no trace and are never found.

We descended the stairs and Fabio wasn’t in his usual seat. “Fabio, where are you?” Antonio called out.

“Here.” THUD. “Ow, I am here. Sorry, I was just tinkering away.”

Fabio appeared, rubbing his head. “What can I do for you, boss?”

I explained everything that happened, and everything that had gone down today. From the bank accounts to the storage facilities. “Let me get this straight, all the negative information about your legitimate companies got released to the media, all your storage facilities which held all your weapons were raided, and all your bank accounts were emptied. This all happened in a few hours,” Fabio said.

I nodded, with a growl. Fabio chuckled, “Sounds like you got Nova’d. That is Nova’s hacking specialty. She destroys entire empires, and does it fast. No one has ever been able to stop her once she starts. I don’t even think anyone knows anything about her. She has always targeted people for a reason. The only reason I could think she would target you would be the illegal side of your business, but her past targets

have all been businessmen. Not any with affiliations like what you have. So, that makes me wonder why she is getting involved in the way she is.”

My brow furrowed, as wondered if she was getting involved because she has something to do with the Phoenix Knights, or maybe she owes Olivia. Wait, what if Olivia is Nova? That would explain why her information is so heavily secured

“How recently has she started helping the Knights?” I asked.

“I have no idea when she started, but Nova got her name because everything she has done for you, she would do solo. It would always be one hell of an impressive and destructive task. It was questioned once whether Nova was the name of a team, but nope, she is true to her name is a supernova. She destroys people’s entire world and lives completely solo. She has never teamed up with anyone before,” Fabio replied.

“Has she ever gone as far as to destroy someone’s life this much?”

“She has never targeted bank accounts within the US before, because they have stronger security than offshore banks. This task alone is probably ten times the size of anything she has done before,” Fabio explained.

“And, no one has ever met her?” A part of me hoped that someone, somewhere, would know her true identity.

Fabio shook his head. I rubbed my brow. “The way she has gone after everything of mine, just after I killed Angela Jones, makes me wonder whether I made it personal.”

“You think Miss Anderson might be Nova,” Antonio said.

I nodded, “It makes sense. I killed her mother, and she took everything from me, I am impressed, I have truly picked the right woman to stand beside me in my world.”

“Sir, I would like to point out that she is clearly going to fight you at every turn. Which poses the question: how far is she willing to go to fight you? If she is capable of this alone, what else is she capable of,” Antonio said.

“Oh dear, Antonio, you clearly do not know how obsessed that makes me towards her. She is perfect. That woman owns my heart, and I intend to own every single part of her,” I smirked.

“What can I do to help? If she is Nova, I would sure as hell like to learn all her tricks,” Fabio smiled.

I narrowed my eyes on him, before asking, “Did they find the information on the deal?”

Fabio nodded, “I believe so, and that is all I can tell you. Five different people have viewed the chat but only four of them I have been able to figure out who they were. The final person left no trace, aside from the fact that I know that they were there. I can’t find anything out about them. I am of the belief that that person was Nova.”

“Good,” I nodded.

Hurned on my heels and signaled for Antonio to follow me. We headed to my office in silence. Even though I had no money left in those accounts, I still had billions of dollars in cash and diamonds sitting in my safe here in this house. Enough to make us disappear easily. I will just need to make the final preparations over the coming days, and keep it offline, so that it isn’t found by Nova and the Phoenix Knights.

For now, it was time to let Antonio in on the plan that is going on in my mind. I needed him to know, so he would know what to do when I needed him to do something. That way, I didn’t have to order him to do it. So, you are finally going to let me in on the plan that you have been refining in your mind?” Antonio asked. “Firstly, we need to make sure we are at the warehouse early, and set up so we can capture her. Now, we know the secret way out. I want a large van at the other end of the tunnel. One that will isolate her from everyone else. I want her to be scared. We are going to draw them into the warehouse, and then ambush them. We have the smoke grenades and stun grenades, we will blind them long enough for us to grab her, and kill anyone that gets in our way. If we can kill as many as we can while we capture Olivia,” I began.

“How many men should we bring with us?” he asked.

“Fifty men, forty at the warehouse, two to guard the van and cars, the rest at the secondary location, guarding that,” I replied.

Antonio nodded. So, I continued, “Once we get her into the van, we will drive to the second location. We will lock her in a room while we wait for the take–off time of the private jet I am going to hire. Then we will leave the country. Probably travel threw a few different countries before we settle down somewhere.”
