Chapter 95

Daniel’s POV-

Olivia and I were in one of the SUVS that made up a convoy of ten SUVs, two cargo trucks and one large van. The rest of the men were on their bikes. We only had limited space in the trucks and SUVs, so the rest of the men had to be on bikes. It was going to be a fairly long-drive, even with all the speed limits we are breaking. The warehouse is out there, it’s an abandoned one for a reason. It was condemned years ago, it was built during prohibition.

When we got closer, we stayed back a distance from the warehouse, so Mr Robinson and his guys could set up their surveillance equipment, satellite, and whatever else they needed to do. Honestly, I wasn’t really paying attention to their explanations of what they needed to do, because I was focused on Olivia, and I honestly did not understand any of it. But my beautiful queen does.

They were set up and ready within thirty minutes, which gave us time to go over the blueprints and the plan one final time. The warehouse had one very large open front entrance. There was a huge shutter. It is currently rolled up. There are no lights on inside right now. But movement could be seen with the use of night vision binoculars that Mr Robinson gave us. There were perhaps twenty men that I could count. Prez believes thirty. They looked like they had fortified it, well defended so that they could hide behind to shoot at us. That could also mean that they have more men hiding behind those defenses.

We had to move fast. Two teams were going to move to circle around the warehouse from the back to the huge entrance. They would come around one either side of the entrance. This was so that they could make sure there were no more men hiding behind the building, so we wouldn’t have more men sneaking up on us from behind the building. Ten men were going to hold back with Mr Robinson and his crew. The rest of us will use four of the SUVs and one of the trucks to speed towards the entrance, so that we can get very close to the entrance and have some protection if they open fire on us straight away. It is very likely that they will.

“Right, any questions?” Prez called out.

“Who is leading the two teams?” Mike asked.

“You and Carnage. You are both the future leaders of our club. Who is better to lead our people now, when we have to divide up like this,” Prez responded.

My grip tightened on Olivia’s waist. I didn’t want to leave her side. But I think a part of Prez doing this, is so that in the future I can leave her alone in situations like this. He needs to know I can still operate and follow orders even when all I want is to stay beside Olivia. She is my woman and every single part of me wants to do everything that I can to keep her safe.

Olivia’s hand moved and immediately gripped mine, and began rubbing circles on the back of my hand. I knew she was trying to reassure me. It helped a little bit but not completely. I was still worried sick. My stomach was churning at the thought of leaving her. “Don’t worry, everything will work out how it is meant to work out. Focus on you, Mike, and your men. “Yeah, but I’d rather be the one covering your sexy ass,” I smirked at her.

“Well, maybe next time you can,” she winked at me.

“You two done?” Prez interjected..

I saw Olivia’s cheeks flushed red, noticing that everyone was paying attention to our exchange I chuckled, “Done talking, yes, other things not so much.”

That earned a chuckle from everyone in the crowd. Olivia elbowed my side. Prez shook his head and sighed, “As I was saying, Queenie will stay with Gold, Dragon and me. Once Mike and Carnage’s teams have checked the rear of the warehouse, when it is clear, they will move to the front of the warehouse

along either side of it. Kill anyone you find silently. We do not need them alerted to our presence quite yet. Then, when your teams get to the front of the warehouse, we will move the truck and SUVs into position as fast as possible. Then we take the warehouse. Everyone there is to be severely wounded or killed. Try to keep one or two alive in case Vargas escapes. Keep the comms clear of unnecessary flirting and chit-chat. Relevant information only.”

Everyone chuckled under their breaths at the “unnecessary flirting” comment, because that was directed at me and Olivia, that much was obvious. “We will save the flirting for later,” I smirked.

Prez rolled his eyes, and said, “Mike, Carnage, get your teams together, and move out in five minutes.” Mike placed a hand on my shoulder and whispered, “I will get our teams together. Say goodbye to Olivia You know because you are going to be separated during the mission, not because you will lose her.”

I glared at him, pissed that he would even say something like that. But I felt grateful for the fact that he was giving me time to say goodbye to Olivia. Olivia elbowed me, making me sigh and say, “Thank you,

brother.”

Mike nodded his head, before moving off. I turned to face Olivia, wrapping my other arm around her waist, pulling her against me. I rested my forehead on hers, and breathed in, before letting out a long sigh. “My queen, stay with them. Don’t leave their sides, and pay attention to what is going on around you. No matter what happens, I will find you after, and then I am going to spend the whole night holding you in my arms. I love you with all my heart, Olivia. Stay safe and listen to them, until I get to you, and we will end this.”

“I will, I promise. I love you, Daniel, with all my heart. Stay safe. I can’t lose you,” she said, wrapping her arms around my neck.

She buried her face in my chest, so I wrapped my arms around her and buried my nose in her hair. breathing deeply. Letting her scent fill my nostrils, I love the smell of her hair. I kept breathing in, not wanting to forget the smell of her hair. I know I will be seeing her again soon, but how soon is soon? And a lot could happen to her from the moment I leave to the moment she is back in my arms. I blinked away tears that were threatening to spill. I couldn’t cry not in front of all these guys here. I am Carnage after all.

I pressed a kiss to the top of her head, pulled back slightly and captured her lips. Our lips moved together

“I love you, Olivia,” I smiled at her.

“I love you too, Daniel,” she replied, fighting back her own tears.

We exchanged another smile, before I turned and headed over to Mike. He has the men together, and ready. Mike patted my shoulder and said, “We will get this done quickly, so you can be back beside her.
