The Primordial Record novel Chapter 2029

Chapter 2029: First Test

One million three hundred years after the Agreement was made, a small host sent by the Ancient Primordials swept towards the Origin Realms, and their numbers were in the trillions... in the scale of this battle, this was just a small force.

At the edge where Limbo met the boundary of the Origin Realms, the host to end all that was good inside Existence began to gather like a tidal wave of nightmare given volume.

Trillions seemed like a small word, but seeing it in person was a different case entirely. The blackness of their number stretched so wide it curved with the geometry of higher-dimensional space, swallowing starlight, devouring the faint auroral glow that had always marked the boundary between the Origin Realms and the desolate space that Limbo had become.

They moved in silence, which was an eerie thing to observe because they were creatures of chaos and disorder; some were small as ants while others were larger than universes, yet all of these monsters matched in silence, their steps on the fabrics of space and time were the drumbeat to announce their arrival.

Across the ten thousand Origin Realms, the defenders awoke to the apocalypse, but this was what they had been preparing for every day, and a quick assessment was sent out by the scouts to know the number of their enemy and their threat level.

With the report flowing in, the defenses of the Origin Realms began to come into action, as tiny stands of light began to arise from one of the foremost Origin Realms, which created a massive turtle made from light.

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, Eos had finally granted Ananke, the Beast of Inevitability, its Origin Realm to protect and manage.

The Beast was rapidly getting used to protecting its own Origin Realm and was slowly regaining the power that it had lost due to the unexpected attack from Enoch, and it was one of the first defenders to rise when it noticed the incoming threat.

White eyes shining like a star, the turtle body that he created from light expanded until it towered over several Origin Realms, and it opened its maws, which were both its turtle and snake heads, and a lance of pure erasure shining like the first star in Existence, speared across the distance and impacted against the incoming host of cataclysm.

A trillion translucent silhouettes in the distance that could barely be discerned simply ceased to exist. Unmade at their roots.

The lance of erasure from the Beast of Inevitability erased even their memories from existence, as wherever it light touched, space and time collapsed into points of nothingness, dragging surrounding monsters into recursive implosion that sounded as if Existence itself was groaning in pain.

The black tide that emerged out of nowhere recoiled for the first time, a visible flinch that rippled backward through trillions. But the recoil lasted less than a heartbeat.

The Abyssal Brood of Primordial Demon surged forward to fill the gap created by the Beast of Inevitability. Chitinous horrors the size of cities vomited venom clouds that ate at the membrane between realms.

Brood Titans roared, each mouth a furnace of corruption, and hurled themselves through space and time, pulling their entire host alongside them, so it would seem as if the massive host was teleporting across space.

One moment, they would be quadrillions of light-years away, and the next, the distance had shrunk to trillions of light-years. With their speed, in a few heartbeats, they would impact against the boundary of the Origin Realms.

Chapter 2029: First Test 1

It was as if all the ten thousand Origin Realms were breathing, and every time they exhaled, they released massive waves of destructive energies that turned the space that separated the host of cataclysm and the Origin Realms into a killing field of blinding light, impossible geometries, temporal shear, memory overload, and purifying fire.
