The Primordial Record novel Chapter 2030

Chapter 2030: Making A Decision

Eos sat on the stone that he had taken for his throne, and he bowed his head in thought. In his hand was the key that Nyxara had given him, the great trap that the Ancient Primordials had laid down for him.

Nyxara had given him two million years, and there were fewer than seven hundred thousand years before he needed to go to that place, or what remained of his family would be killed.

The attack that had just occurred might look like the beginning of the war, but Eos knew that this was Nyxara’s way of sending him a message, and the fact that, after all this time, he was still contemplating this issue was a testament to how much this Primordial knew him.

On the surface, this was obviously a trap, but Eos knew that Nyxara knew him well enough that he would be foolish to fall for the same scheme three times in a row.

Did he believe that his family was alive? Yes, there was a slim possibility, and if they were, then Eos would move Limbo with his bare hands to rescue them, and he would not mind the high cost that he would suffer, but there was something missing here... Nyxara was not aware that Eos would take this step.

The last time he and the Primordial had been in the same place, Eos had sacrificed his family just to kill her, and this was the version of Eos that she knew, the cold, calculating killer that would see the entire picture and pick the version that was pragmatic.

If this was still the way she saw him, why would she come all the way to the Origin Realm by herself just to tell him that two million years from now, he needed to surrender the Primordial Record for the life of his family?

This did not make sense, and Eos could only believe that Nyxara was telling him something different, and she knew that Eos would be smart enough to figure it out, and with the attack that just happened, Eos had basically confirmed his speculations.

There may be a possibility that his family was alive, but Eos knew that what Nyxara wanted him to give her was not the Primordial Record, at least, not at the moment; no, she wanted something else.

If the souls of his family remained, which he highly doubted, Nyxara would want to exchange them with something that was more important to her at the moment.

Eos chuckled and brought the key to his head, his eyes glinting like a serpent, "How interesting... You wish to make me your tool. Okay, Nyxara, we will play that game, but you may not like how it would turn out for you."

Closing his eyes, Eos assessed his present state.

He was still strong despite this body being nothing but a husk for his upcoming evolution. Observing the manner that the Abomination had used in its evolution was sickening, but Eos had been able to pull knowledge from that experience, and while he would not duplicate that drastic manner of evolution, certain concepts were good enough for him to copy.

That was the least of the changes in the Origin Realms, as the first living beings began to rise, powerful and noble, they had inherited paradise, and yet they knew that if they did not fight for it, all would be lost.

Two million years was not a long time in the scale that Primordials operated, and the Origin Realms were vast, each considered infinite for lower-dimensional mortals and immortals, and so, despite the population in the Origin Realms multiplying exponentially, most of the Origin Realms were considered empty.

With all of these changes happening in the Origin Realm, Eos was not seen, and when he left the Origin Realms behind, not even his Primordials knew that he had left.

The location that he went to in Limbo was a strange place, situated on the edges between existence and nonexistence. Eos transformed into a stream of light that moved through time and space in a manner that could not be detected even by Primordials.

Summoning the key given to him by Nyxara, he saw the space in front of him transform, and he hesitated for a moment before he entered this anomaly. He saw himself inside a strange space filled with endless monsters. These were the monsters that attacked his Origin Realms.

Eos looked around him and noticed that the key that Nyxara had given him was shielding him from the perception of these monsters.
