The strand of Eos’s consciousness flowed over to the Field of Elysium, but none of the 645 prospective candidates for Primordials could detect him.
He took the form of a large golden eagle and flew over the Field of Elysium, which resembled a garden that stretched across a galaxy-sized space.
For a higher-dimensional being, a space of this size was meaningless, and it could be crossed in the blink of an eye, but this place was special as a rule had been instituted upon it that banned higher dimensional travel, restricting the highest dimension here to the third dimension.
If anyone wanted to move across this garden, they would have to depend on themselves to fly through the third-dimensional space, and for Old Ones, this meant a journey of about nine hours.
The reason this garden was created was to give the Primordial Candidate a space where they could be able to understand themselves without the noise of the higher dimension intruding into their thoughts.
Many Old Ones had forgotten what it was like to be mortal, or to have the only sound in your head to be that of your own thoughts.
With power over the dimension of space, time, and memory. The minds of Old Ones were a storm, and only their powerful souls gave them the power to keep everything in place.
Inside the Field of Elysium, they could find the mysteries of Existence displayed without being covered. A pool could contain the laws of water, heat, thermodynamics, and so many other laws.
The ground they were stepping on could show them the law of creation, growth, or stability, and this was the same thing for every piece of material, organic or inorganic, that could be found in the Field of Elysium.
In this place of silence, because most of the Primordial Candidates did not bother to speak to each other, they just meditated or roamed the fields, looking for inspiration.
Because that was the main goal of this place, to inspire.
Crossing into the Primordial level meant your state was fixed forever, as you had chosen your Origin. In essence it was as if you had chosen how you wanted to be created anew... Origin... Creation.
Would your Origin be that of a stone, solid and unshaking, to become a Primordial of Unshakable Resolve, or would it flow like the waves?
In Elysium, a Primordial Candidate was given one last chance to check their heart and confirm if the path they wanted to take was truly their own. Usually, if it were, then they would gravitate to the place inside Elysium that was closely tied to their concept.
Eos had not been the one who made the Field of Elysium, although some may argue that it was he, due to the fact that the creator of this place came from his body, but he knew how to give credit to whom credit was due.
His eagle form crossed the Field of Elysium, moving faster than anything should be able to in a third dimensional space until it came to a small hut built beside a gentle flowing river.
Sitting in front of the hut and writing in a large book was a beautiful woman wearing a golden green dress, and for a fleeting moment, it was as if he was seeing his mother, Elura, but that moment passed as the woman looked up and saw him as an Eagle, and she smiled,
