“All of this is for me? I’ve only been gone a few days. Why does it feel like everyone’s looking at me differently now?”

“Larissa, you’re a genius. You almost got perfect scores in every subject.

“And you never even listen in class. You just sleep. So many people wish they could be like you,” Nancy explained.

“Larissa, do you even realize how much influence you have at school now?”

Alvin pulled out a bag of chips and started eating as he spoke.

“Larissa, you’re amazing. How do you study? Can you teach me your method? I’m so jealous!”

Nancy casually grabbed a pack of snacks and started eating too.

“Everyone who gave Larissa’s snacks probably wants to know the same thing. But her method works for her, not necessarily for you,” Alvin said.

Larissa thought for a moment before answering, “Everyone learns differently. My method wouldn’t work for you. If you slept through class like I do, you’d do even worse.”

Nancy and Alvin froze.

“This is Class C’s honor.”

Nancy hadn’t expected much. Someone as lazy as Larissa, who slept whenever possible, would never volunteer.

Nancy raised her thumb in approval.

“Alright, Larissa. I didn’t realize you were this confident. I’ll sign you up.

“You know how senior girls are. They’re too shy to participate. No matter how much I begged, barely anyone agreed.”

“Okay. No problem.”
