Chapter 2 She Will Never Be Foolish Again
In her past life, it took her a whole lifetime to finally see the truth and face reality.

She saw how fake the Turners were, how they caused her terrible death, and how they’d stolen everything from her.
The company shares she built with her own hands. Her healthy body.
All she ever wanted was just a little fatherly love from Morris.
In this new life, she wouldn’t be foolish again.
“Mr. Turner, I didn’t do it, and I won’t apologize.
“Are you acting like this because I hit the truth and made you feel guilty?
“If you really saw me as your daughter, you wouldn’t doubt me.
“I just got home, and within twelve hours I was locked up. I didn’t get any food, not even a sip of water.
“Is this how you treat someone you call family?”
Listening to her hoarse cries and painful words, Morris did not feel even a bit of pity. Instead, he found her hateful to look at. Losing all patience, he raised his hand and slapped her hard across the face. shouting angrily, “All lies! I saw everything clearly on the security cameras, and you still refuse to admit it. How could I have a daughter like you?”
Seeing this, Julia watched with pride, treating it like a joke.
Larissa, did you see that? All of this belongs to me. The father you love, the brothers you care about, everything in this family is mine.
Why didn’t you just die outside?
Since you insist on coming back, don’t blame me for using any means to drive you out. You’re just an adopted daughter. What right do you have to fight with me?
Larissa covered her burning cheek where she was hit. The last bit of hope in her heart was shattered by that slap.
In her past life, she wanted family love too badly. She still held on to a small hope for the Turners, so she accepted the blame back then.
From that day on, she was labeled as a cruel person who hurt her younger sister.
Given a second life, she would no longer cling to even a shred of hope for the Turners.
That was fine.
This way, when she left this place, she would have no regrets at all.

Had the Turners ever shown her even a hint of pity or care?

“Good thing I’m not your real daughter. I don’t need a father like you who can’t tell right from wrong. I didn’t do it, so I won’t admit it. I did nothing wrong.
“If you insist on forcing me to admit it, then I don’t mind making this accusation real.”
Julia shrank back in fear and hid in Priscilla’s arms.
Priscilla patted her back and comforted her, saying, “Don’t be scared. I am here. No one will dare bully you again.”
Jettson said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here. I’ll protect you.”
Harlan added, “That’s right. I’m here, too. I won’t let anyone hurt you again.”
Priscilla stared at Larissa with anger burning in her eyes. “How dare you threaten my precious daughter? Who do you think you are?”
Morris pointed at Larissa in rage, his face full of pain and disappointment.
“How did you become like this?
“It seems that sending you to Ravenmind Island for five years didn’t help at all. Not only did you not improve, you became even more rude and cruel.
“I’m truly disappointed in you.
“If you won’t admit your mistake, then get out of this house. I don’t have a daughter like you.”
Larissa looked at the scene in front of her–their happy family standing together, all of them protecting Julia.
She couldn’t help but think of the time before she turned ten. Back then, Jettson, Harlan, and Morris all loved her very much. They played with her, and on her birthday, they carefully prepared gifts and surprises just for her.
But Julia was his biological daughter. Their biological sister. They were the real family.
And she was just an outsider.
All of that was too long ago now, beautiful like a dream.
It no longer belonged to her.
Yet in her past life, she still foolishly wanted family love from the Turners.
She was wrong. Completely wrong.
“Fine. Since you can’t accept me, I won’t stay here and disturb your happy family anymore, Larissa said.
“Stop right there.”

Jettson walked up to her and grabbed her arm, his tone rough and cold. “Did I say you could leave? You did something wrong and still won’t repent.”
“Let go.”
Larissa shook off his hand, ignored him, and turned to leave.
Jettson was furious and shouted, “Larissa, you’re beyond help.
“Do you even see me as your brother anymore?
“Stop causing trouble. You almost got Julia killed. She almost drowned.
“We only wanted you to admit your mistake and apologize. Not only did you refuse, but you even showed this kind of attitude.
“As part of the Turners, aren’t you being way too cruel?”
Larissa sneered. “Brother? You think you deserve that?”
Feeling his grip tighten, Larissa grabbed his arm with her other hand and gave it a sharp twist. Jettson cried out and instantly let go.
“I’m cruel?
“Is your brain just for filling space in your head?
“If it’s useless, go donate it.
“Look at her. Does she look sick at all?
“With her fake, sweet act, she could win an award by now.
“So tell me, is she acting too well, or are you all just blind?”
Larissa walked up to Julia and asked coldly, “Did I push you?”
Julia hid in Priscilla’s arms, pretending to shake in fear.
Larissa looked down at her from above. “What? Too scared to speak? What really happened? Do you dare tell the truth?”
“That’s enough, Larissa! I’ve been way too kind to you. You still dare threaten Julia even now. I never thought that at such a young age, you could be this cruel and refuse to repent.”
Harlan rushed over in a protective stance and stood in front of Julia, raising his hand to slap Larissa.
Larissa easily blocked him and slapped him back hard, knocking him down to his knees.
She said coldly, “Cruel? This is what cruel really looks like.”
“Larissa, how dare you hit Harlan!” Julia shouted.

She never expected Larissa to be so bold. The girl had always been weak and quiet, yet now she dared to fight Harlan.
“Why wouldn’t I dare?” Larissa said calmly.
In front of everyone, she slapped Julia twice.
Smack! Smack!
The clear sound echoed through the room.
The crisp crack of the two slaps sent a wave of pure vindication washing over Larissa.
In her past life, she didn’t dare do this. In this life, she finally did.
One slap for a lifetime. She had been framed twice. Two slaps still felt like she got the short end of the deal.
Everyone present was shocked by what she had done.
Priscilla never expected Larissa to dare hit her daughter right in front of her.
All these years, she had always played the role of a gentle wife and loving mother.
When Julia was ten, she brought her daughter back to the Turners.
To enjoy a rich life with her daughter under the Turner name, she carefully kept up the facade as a kind and caring woman.
And it worked. The mother and daughter pushed Larissa out of the Turners and won over everyone in the family.
But now, Larissa dared to bully her daughter right under her nose. How could Priscilla possibly tolerate
that?
Useless fools. So many grown men, and none of them could handle one Larissa.
Julia was completely stunned by the slap. Ever since she’d returned to the Turners as the rich heiress, aside from deliberately framing Larissa, when had she ever endured such a humiliation?
“Larissa, did I do something wrong? Why do you hate me so much?” Julia said with tears in her eyes.
“Mom, it hurts.”
Priscilla turned toward Morris, crying pitifully.
“Honey, what’s the point of Julia and me staying in this house anymore?
“Yesterday, Julia almost lost her life. Not only does Larissa feel no regret, she’s only getting worse.
“She dares to hurt Julia right in front of everyone. Who knows how badly she would bully her when no one is watching?

At first, Priscilla planned to spare this girl’s life and keep her around as a living blood supply for Julia.
And since she had already changed her name to Larissa and no longer used the surname Turner, there was no need to worry about her taking the Turners‘ property.
But now, she had changed her mind.
