Chapter 251 The Battle for Everreach
“Larissa got a perfect score on the exam. Who could possibly beat her?”
“Exactly! She’s incredible. No wonder Professor Quinn wants her as a student.”

“And she’s not just smart. She made five billion dollars in one hour! How does someone even do that?”
“I’ll never underestimate people from Smeana again. They’re smart, they study hard, and they’re rich. One day I really want to visit Smeana and see it for myself.”
Larissa stood there quietly.
Even though she had just won five billion dollars, she showed no excitement at all.
But Herbert and the other students looked at her with envy.
The Global Academic Competition was now officially over.
Larissa had taken first place with a perfect score. She won a five–million–dollar prize and secured the right for Smeana to host next year’s Global Academic Competition.
After this victory, no other country dared to underestimate Smeana again.
After lunch, Larissa said goodbye to everyone and got into Thea’s car. They drove to the largest auction house in Moblos.
The place was crowded. Famous people from many industries had gathered there.
For safety, everyone attending the auction needed an invitation and had to wear a face mask.
Larissa and Thea each put on a mask and sat in the front row.
Thea glanced around and whispered, “Boss, I heard several powerful groups want Everreach tonight. If we want to win it, we’ll probably have to spend a huge amount of money.”
Larissa smiled slightly.
If money can solve the problem, then it’s not a real problem,” she said calmly. “I’m winning Everreach ne way or another.”
Suddenly Thea noticed the people sitting beside Larissa. Her eyes lit up.

“Boss, your style is still as bold as ever. The guys on your left and right are both wearing face masks, but I bet they’re handsome.”
She leaned closer and whispered teasingly. “Do you like either of them?”
Larissa glanced to both sides. From their jawlines, they did look like good–looking men.

Thea still had a sharp eye.
“Stop talking nonsense,” Larissa said calmly. “Don’t forget why we’re here.”
The auction began.

One valuable item after another was presented on stage. The atmosphere grew more and more excited.
Soon it was time for Everreach to be auctioned off.
As soon as the host finished introducing it, the bidding started.
“One billion!” someone shouted first.
Other groups quickly joined the competition. The price climbed higher and higher.
Thea looked at Larissa nervously. Larissa, however, remained completely calm.
“1.5 billion!”
“Two billion!”
The price soon reached 15 billion dollars.
Thea leaned closer and asked curiously. “Are we still bidding? The price is already higher than the mine’s value. Is it still worth it?”
Larissa let out a small, confident laugh. “Keep going. 20 billion.”
The entire place fell silent. Many people gasped. They had not expected Larissa to spend money so boldly.
People nearby began whispering to each other, wondering what powerful force stood behind her.
The man on her right, Wesley, raised his sign. “16 billion!”
The man on her left, Alvin, followed. “17 billion.”
Larissa calmly lifted her paddle. “20 billion.”
A flash of surprise appeared in Wesley’s eyes. He raised his paddle again. “21 billion!”
Alvin did not hesitate. “22 billion!”
The atmosphere instantly became tense.
Larissa remained calm. Her voice was soft but clear. “25 billion.”
That number shocked the room. Many bidders immediately gave up. Wesley and Alvin fell silent for a
moment.
