Chapter 300 Shocking Invitation

Lionel’s idea was never going to work. Everyone knew Wesley had no interest in women. There was no way he would fall for a girl fresh out of high school.

At the same time, Vince was surprised and pleased when he received the invitation.

He looked at it and murmured, “This girl really keeps surprising people. Tim struck gold. She’s not only a brilliant doctor but also an outstanding student. If she were my student, I’d want to brag about her too.”

The butler stood nearby and asked respectfully, “Mr. Vince, what’s so special about this invitation? You usually don’t even look at parties like this, let alone attend them.”

Vince smiled and explained, “You don’t know the whole story. This girl is an exceptional doctor. She even cured an old illness of mine. I’m in this condition now because of her. Last time, I left in such a hurry that I never got to thank her properly. And now she’s become the nation’s top SAT scorer at such a young age. Her future is bright.

“Tim is making this party such a big deal because he wants everyone to know he has an outstanding student. How could I miss an occasion like this? Someone with her talent is worth befriending, not offending.”

The butler nodded in understanding.

“But tomorrow you’re supposed to inspect the military exercise. They’ve been preparing for that mock battle for three months. Aren’t you going to check the results yourself?”

Vince answered without pause. “Tell them to move it back one week.”

Then he added, “Make the arrangements. Prepare my best gift, and let Alvin know he’s coming with me tomorrow. We’ll attend the party on time.”

The butler fell silent.

A military exercise had been postponed for Tim’s student’s party. That alone was enough to show how extraordinary this girl was. Anyone Tim valued this much had to be someone important.

He quickly left to carry out the orders.

Alvin frowned in confusion the moment he heard the news from the butler.

Who could possibly matter this much to his mentor?

Who was important enough to make Vince postpone a military exercise for one party?

The man was Alex Shelton, the president from Northland University.

He shook her hand warmly and said, “Larissa, I’m the president from Northland University. I came today to personally deliver your admission letter. I hope you’ll consider attending Northland University in Eldercrown.”

Larissa was genuinely surprised. She had never expected the president of Northland University to deliver her admission letter in person.

She accepted it politely and smiled. “Mr. Shelton, thank you for coming all this way. But I’ve already decided to enroll at Eldercrown University.”

Alex smiled and nodded.
