Leonard walked over to Larissa and looked her up and down, making sure she was not hurt. Only then did he let out a breath.

He held his daughter’s hand, steady and firm, giving her strength.

“It’s okay now,” he said. “Daddy is here.”

Larissa never expected her father to come in

Leonard stepped in front of Larissa. He stood tall, blocking her completely. His gaze locked onto Morris, cold and heavy with authority.

“Mr. Turner,” Leonard said, his voice low and sharp, “was it your child who bullied my child?

“I heard everything you just said about my daughter. Every insult. Every lie.

“Expect a letter from my lawyer. I will make sure you understand what happens when you cross my little princess.”

Morris stared at Leonard in shock.

Someone like Leonard was far beyond his reach. Morris had only ever seen him once, from afar, at a high–end gala.

The Sowles was one of the most powerful families in all of Eldercrown.

No one knew why the former head of the Sowles had showed up in Marcrest two years ago.

But everyone knew one thing. If Leonard wanted the Turner Group to go bankrupt, it would take only a simple command from him.

“To me, whatever my daughter does is right. Whatever she says is right.

“And you people, who bullied her and are now trying to drive a wedge between us as father and daughter, are disgusting.”
