Someone like Larissa had to be treated with care and respect. Keeping a good relationship with her might one day save their children or grandchildren.
Larissa took a big, happy sip of her ice–cold soda. Just then, her phone rang.
She glanced at the screen. It was Gavin.
Larissa answered the call. Gavin’s voice came through right away.
“Larissa, I heard you’re in Eldercrown. Where are you? just finished my class. I’ll come pick you up and take you out.”
Larissa didn’t want to spend time with the professors. She sent him the address.
Then she turned to Bailey. “Professor Potter, I have something to do; I’ll head out first. Don’t forget to stay
in touch.”
Bailey nodded quickly and smiled. “Alright. Go take care of your business. We’ll meet again soon.”
The fact that she had come at all was already a big favor. He wouldn’t hold her back.
Luckily, he already had her contact info. He could still reach her if needed.
The other professors were a little reluctant to see her go, but they didn’t try to stop her. They all said they looked forward to talking again next time.
Larissa had just walked out of the private room when Gavin rushed over in a hurry.
As soon as he saw her, he warmly put an arm around her shoulders. “Larissa, come with me. I’ll take you to meet my buddies.”
Larissa nodded obediently. “Okay.”
After returning to the Sowles, she had only met Gavin once. Around him, she was always well–behaved and easygoing.
Gavin chuckled and drove his sports car, taking Larissa to a high–end club.
“Larissa, this is the best entertainment place in Eldercrown,” he said proudly.
“They have everything–shooting, pool, horseback riding, racing, and golf. You name it. What are you. interested in? Today, I’m in charge of making you happy.”
Larissa raised an eyebrow. She hadn’t expected this.
As soon as they walked in, a group of people surrounded them. They were all Gavin’s friends.
When they saw Larissa, their eyes widened, and they started joking.
“Gavin, where did you find such a pretty girl?”
Gavin immediately pulled Larissa behind him and kicked one of them without holding back.
“Watch your mouths,” he warned coldly. “This is my sister. The heiress of the Sowles. My favorite person.

You’d better show some respect. If anyone dares to get the wrong idea about her, I’ll make sure he regrets it.”
Hearing this, everyone quickly dropped their teasing looks and greeted her politely.
“Just saying hello?” Gavin said, unhappy. “Where are the welcome gifts?”
So everyone hurried to take out the most valuable thing they had on them.
Some gave expensive watches. Others offered gemstone necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or diamond rings.
Almost everyone handed over the priciest item they were carrying.
“Larissa, take them,” Gavin said proudly. “This is their goodwill.”
The others quickly agreed.
“Please accept them. Just a small token from us. Gavin’s sister is our sister too.”
Larissa had no words.
She looked at the pile of expensive jewelry in front of her and didn’t know what to say.
Gavin’s friends were very straightforward. When they gave gifts, they simply took off the most expensive thing they had and handed it over–no wrapping, no hesitation.
“Thank you, everyone,” Larissa said sincerely.
She could feel their kindness.
Such generosity was something she had never experienced back in the Turner household.
Jettson never took her to meet his friends.
She remembered once when Jettson asked her to deliver some documents to him..
She rushed there by taxi. It was raining heavily outside, and she had forgotten to bring an umbrella.
She tightly hugged the documents to her chest, fearing they would get wet. By the time she found Jettson, her whole body was soaked.
