After the whole summer break, Nina had successfully dropped from 140 pounds to 120 pounds.
Surprisingly, Nina had also grown an inch taller
Now Tina has a gorgeous curvy figure–slim in all the right places and full in all the right places. She’s nothing like the chubby girl she used to be.
Every time Nina lost ten pounds, Jensen used money from his part–time jobs to buy her a gift.
Last time it was the big teddy bear.
Nina slept with it every night.
This time, it was a lovely long nightdress.
After Nina opened the box and saw the soft, comfortable nightdress, she couldn’t help asking, “It is expensive, isn’t it?”
Jensen didn’t reply, but Nina could tell from the quality and material that it wasn’t cheap- especially since it was a luxury brand.
Jensen had been going out to do part–time jobs all summer, and she had never seen him spend a cent.
So he’d been saving up for gifts.
Seeing how happy Nina was, a faint smile appeared on Jensen’s face.
“Do you like it?”
“I love it!”
Nina held the dress up in front of her. “Do I look too cute in this?”
“It’s very cute. It suits you.”
Jensen’s voice was calm, but it carried a clear tone of affection.
In her excitement, Nina almost forgot why she had come over. “Oh right! Are you free the day after tomorrow or not?”

“Katrina from my class is inviting everyone to a mountain resort. Wanna come with me?”
The moment he heard the name Katrina, the smile vanished from Jensen’s face. He kept reading his book without looking up. “I’m not going.”
“Really not?”
“No.”
“There’s gonna be good drama.”
“I’m not even in Class A. You go. Be careful on the way.”
Since Jensen wasn’t interested, Nina didn’t push him. Just as she was about to turn and leave, Jensen suddenly spoke.
“Send me the address.”
“Are you changing your mind?”
“No. If it gets too late, I’ll ask Sam to pick you up
Nina pouted. “Fine, got it.”
Nina had hoped to drag Jensen along to watch the drama, but he clearly had no interest at all.
She would just have to go watch alone.
When the day arrived, Nina packed several of her newly bought swimsuits.
After all, she had lived another life–her mental age was no longer that of a high school kid.
Wearing cartoon pajamas at home and liking cute stuffed animals was just to keep her family from getting suspicious.
But if she actually had to wear cartoon swimsuits in public, she would die of embarrassment.
The resort was in the mountains on the edge of town. Though it was called a resort, it was really just a huge villa with a yard.
The Tann family also owned a similar mountain resort, but they almost never went. For years, it had either been rented out or left empty
By now, the rest of the class had already arrived. Katrina was wearing casual loungewear, as if she lived there permanently, and invited everyone into the living room.

It was Tara and the others‘ first time seeing such a huge villa, and for a moment, they were too stunned to speak.
“Katrina, your house is huge!”
“Yeah, Katrina! Do you not even live here normally? This is so fancy!”
The group kept exclaiming in awe.
Although many families in Class A were wealthy, most lived in high–end apartments or small suburban villas–nothing compared to the Sawyer estate.
Katrina smiled but said nothing.
“Oh, Katrina, where’s Chase? Why isn’t he here with you?”
Several of the girls had come partly to see the villa, but more importantly, to meet Chase outside of school.
After all, Chase was the school heartthrob–cold and quiet normally, only speaking to them when he was with Katrina.
Katrina flipped her hair, her shyness obvious. “Chase will be here soon. Let’s just have fun until then.”
“Is everyone here? I feel like someone’s missing.
“That’d be Nina, right? Nina hasn’t arrived yet.”
