Chapter 98 Jensen Dropped Out!
Chapter 98 Jensen Dropped Out!
“Oh, come on. It’s called love.”
A few classmates laughed and traded gossip.
Nina hadn’t expected this.
Katrina–pregnant?
Didn’t she and Chase know anything about protection?
Then again, at their age, maybe they really didn’t.
If she counted back, it was probably from their first time—an accident.
“Breaking news! Jensen dropped out!”

Nina froze. She looked up just as the class loudmouth burst in, shouting, “Jensen dropped out!”
“No way. He’s one of the top students–why would he suddenly leave?”
“He’s ranked first in the whole grade! Wasn’t he supposed to get recommended for studying abroad?”
“Nina, did you know Jensen was leaving?”
Charlotte leaned closer, lowering her voice.
Nina shook her head, still stunned.
Jensen… how could he just drop out like that?
They’d come to school together that morning.
It had only been one break between classes–how could he be gone already?
She pushed back her chair and stood up, but just then Dora walked in from outside.
“Everyone, back to your seats,” she said. “I have an announcement. Jensen is withdrawing due
to family matters. I hope you’ll all stay in touch with him privately.”
“Ms. Reed, why did Jensen suddenly leave?” Nina asked.

Dora hesitated. “I… don’t really know. If he’s leaving, he should have informed your family, right?”
After being taken in by the Tann family, Jensen had been handling his withdrawal over the past month.
But today he left so abruptly, he didn’t even say goodbye to anyone.
A weight dropped in Nina’s chest. She slipped her phone out under the desk and dialed Jensen’s number.
The call didn’t go through. The number had already been disconnected.
Her eyes dimmed instantly.
Jensen… had the Grey family taken him away after all?
But why didn’t he say anything before he left?
She glanced at the desk beside her. His things were still there.
Only he was gone.
That evening, when Nina got home, Jensen’s shoes were still sitting in the rack by the door.
Marvin and Esther greeted her like always, telling her to wash her hands before dinner.
“Mom, Dad… has Jensen left?” Nina asked.
They fell silent for a moment. Then Esther said quietly, “People from the Grey family came to take him. Jensen asked us not to tell you–he didn’t want you to be upset.”
“He overthought it. I’m not upset,” Nina replied and headed straight upstairs.
“Aren’t you going to eat?” Esther called after her.
“I’m not really hungry.”
With that, Nina went to her room.
Marvin and Esther exchanged a helpless glance and shook their heads.
Upstairs, Nina stood for a long moment, looking at the desk full of gifts Jensen had given her and the large teddy bear on her bed. In the end, she gathered everything he’d ever given her, stuffed it into a cardboard box, and sealed it shut.
