Liora’s POV
“Look, this one has your name on it!” Amy held up a small package of instant noodles and protein shakes for one of the other wolfless students, who rushed forward and snatched it with tears in her eyes. Another student was already tearing into the second drone’s package, containing various frozen fruits and vegetables, and the third drone was currently in the middle of dropping a rather heavy-looking bag on the roof.
“Wow. This is… incredible,” Mia mused, scratching her head as we watched the students rush around, digging into the supplies. “I wonder where all this stuff came from?”
I smiled but shrugged, feigning ignorance. “I don’t know. A winter miracle, maybe?”
Mia chuckled, shaking her head. We both turned at the sound of a shout of surprise to find one of the students holding up a canvas bag with an insignia on it. My face flushed. It was the royal insignia—the symbol of my pack. A silver wolf’s head.
“The King must have sent this stuff!” the student exclaimed, passing the bag around for everyone to see. “He must have heard that we were struggling and sent us relief!”
“Huh.” Mia glanced at me. “Perfect timing.”
I swallowed hard and raked my fingers through my hair, forcing my smile to remain in place. “Yeah. Perfect.”
Just then, the door to the roof swung open. A crowd of students came rushing out to see what the commotion was all about, with Bianca as their leader. She froze when she saw the scene in front of her.
“Princess Bianca!” The student holding the bag rushed forward and held it up so she could see. “Was this your doing? Did you have your father send us supplies?”
Bianca didn’t answer right away—she just stood there, staring at the insignia. I folded my arms, waiting to see how she would respond. Whatever it was, I knew it would be interesting.
