I looked around, sure that her cronies would appear now. But still, they didn’t. We remained alone, unheard, unseen.
“What do you want?” I finally asked. The words came out sharp and clear, surprising given how tight my throat felt right now.
Bianca looked up at me. “I don’t want anything from you, Princess.”
“Bullshit.” I lifted my chin. “You’re only apologizing now and groveling on your knees because you think you’ll get something out of it. Even when it comes to a princess, you’re not truly deferring. You’re acting.”
Bianca’s eyes flashed. She stood, dusting off her knees.
“I just want Callum to give me another chance,” she muttered.
I almost laughed, but I held it back. “What does that have to do with me?”
“Maybe, if you could forgive me and put in a good word for me, he would—”
“I’m not doing shit for you.” I brushed past her, snatching my bag off the bench. “I’m not forgiving you, and I’m certainly not fixing the relationship for you that you stole from me. Callum was my mate first, and you lied and schemed until he rejected me. Then, you continued to lie and scheme. It’s not my fault that he finally saw through that and rejected you, too.”
Bianca followed me with her eyes. “So are you going to marry him now?” she asked.
“That’s none of your business.”
Without another word, I stormed off to the bathroom area, resolving to get dressed in a bathroom stall, well enough away from her.
When I emerged fully dressed a few minutes later, Bianca was gone.
Good. I hoped not to see her face again.
