The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 1021

Chapter 1021: The Necessary Requirements

Of course, Oliver Mylor, the twinkling star of Kyle Nox, had grievances.

How could he not?

After that kind of entrance, how was he supposed to show his face to anyone ever again? What if they thought he was in poor health because he couldn’t even walk a few steps into the manor?

Absolutely unacceptable.

So, with cheeks puffed out and ready to hold at least two days’ worth of snacks, he prepared himself to let his boyfriend hear all about it.

But before he could even start—

"I’ll need a moment to grab something," Kyle said.

Ollie paused.

"And while I’d love to bring you in with me right away, that won’t be possible for this first visit."

"...Huh?"

"But hopefully, next time you’ll be able to go in too."

That did it.

The bumbling star was instantly distracted.

Because not only did that sound suspiciously important, but Kyle—his Kyle—actually looked a little bashful.

His complaints ended up in a graveyard, buried by his sudden interest in this.

"Well... I’ll just wait for you," Ollie, to his credit, calmly announced his surprisingly uncharacteristic plan.

Kyle, amused by that docile attitude, tilted his head slightly. "Do you want to wait in my room?"

"?!"

It felt like he had just been handed something life-changing.

"Really?!"

The lighthouse lit up immediately, curiosity shining bright in his eyes.

"I’m not sure if they kept it intact, but I doubt they stripped it bare."

Ollie practically bounced.

His boyfriend’s childhood bedroom?

He narrowed his eyes at once, already plotting. Surely there had to be something. Anything. Something embarrassing. Something incriminating.

After all, his own childhood room was absolutely forbidden territory. No one was allowed to see it if the dignity of the Mylor name was to remain intact.

This was his chance.

His golden opportunity.

The little troublemaker snickered.

But unfortunately for the mop, the experienced adjutant didn’t even need to hear him to know exactly what kind of intrusive thoughts were running through his head.

More importantly, even if they hadn’t been that close or familiar with each other, that hair antenna alone would have been enough to tell what Ollie was thinking.

And because of that, the Nox young master also knew how disappointed the blonde was about to be.

After all, Kyle Nox had always been... Kyle Nox.

Even as a child, he had been the voice of reason.

Technically, with his companions, even if he ended up a bit unhinged, he would still be the most suitable candidate for the position.

But despite his shortcomings, Kyle wanted to think that in all those years, he had actually managed to keep things grounded—eventually ensuring that the fearless Imperial Crown Prince and their walking bundle of luck survived long enough to grow up.

If not for him, Princess Nina might have already inherited the throne by now.

So yes—

When the excited blonde stepped into the room, it felt like stepping into a carefully arranged void.

A landmine of nothing.

Ollie blinked several times, hoping that maybe after a few tries, the view would change.

But even after several attempts, nothing happened.

Where were the heavily bitten stuffed animals?

Where were the mismatched trinkets?

Where was the chaos?

There was none.

Absolutely none.

"Pfft. I didn’t exactly stay here, you know?" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"Yeah. I came back occasionally, and I spent some of my early childhood here," Kyle explained. "But I left this place around the same time the other guy did."

Gasp!

"Not like me? How could anyone be that extreme?!"

The dramatic blonde looked genuinely offended, quite literally clutching at his pearls as he demanded an explanation for such scandalous claims.

But then, after a beat, he added more honestly, "I was just worried they’d think it was disrespectful!"

Kyle shook his head.

"They like you already. They wouldn’t think like that."

"WHAT?!"

This time around, the flustered blonde clutched his seatbelt in shock. He had already been considering sending snacks just to improve their impression of him, so hearing this completely threw him off.

"Yeah," Kyle continued simply. "They like you because I like you."

Ollie froze.

His lashes fluttered, and his hands came up to clutch his chest as he looked at his handsome boyfriend with shining eyes.

"Oh, Kyle! I like you too!"

It was just that, out of nowhere, his expression suddenly went flat.

"But I don’t think it works like that," he added seriously. His hand kept moving across his chest to emphasize his point. "I personally like myself too, but I’m pretty sure some people still don’t like me."

"Also, let’s not forget that because you like me, some people are just out to dislike me."

The blonde shrugged as he didn’t particularly mind all the haters.

Meanwhile, Kyle, who figured he had said something sweet, simply stared at his mop.

Then laughed.

Of course.

Of course, his little star’s brain worked like this. To think Ollie was wondering why seduction looked extremely different for them.

He clicked his tongue, trying to suppress his amusement, but the easily distracted passenger princess had already moved on.

"But more importantly," the blonde said, leaning forward slightly, "what are these? And why did you risk upsetting your people just to go get them?"

Kyle’s lips curved.

"Well, those are some of the things I need to submit a compelling proposal."

"???"
