The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 1214

Chapter 1214: Internal Ice

Take Exhibit A, for example.

Xavier Aeric Theron Solaris.

A hidden big boss who’d been raised with impeccable etiquette befitting his true station had somehow found himself surviving on barely any sleep.

Instead of spending a peaceful and restful night with his beloved, most of those precious hours of darkness had been devoted to repeatedly reminding himself that self-control was the bare minimum expected of any decent human being.

And that, short of the universe somehow turning itself inside out because of circumstances completely beyond anyone’s control, restraint came before everything else. As someone who wanted to be decent, if nothing else, he was determined to stick to his principles and let his beloved get the rest he so desperately needed.

Sure, other people might’ve found his predicament utterly ridiculous, but that was only because they weren’t the ones being subjected to such a relentless test of willpower.

Even now, after somehow surviving that ordeal, it certainly didn’t help that Luca looked particularly unfair wearing those glasses, which only served as an unfortunate reminder of everything that had transpired just a few hours earlier.

To be fair, it wasn’t as though his wife was deliberately trying to kill him with that new look. Definitely not.

The glasses had become a necessary precaution because Luca had chosen the more difficult path of retaining the Luxastra bloodline ability for another day in case more victims needed to be freed from its influence. But thanks to that specifically engineered accessory, his little chipmunk’s worries were minimized and he was free to be as bright and bubbly as ever today.

Unfortunately, the real challenge had never been the glasses or how delectable he looked in them.

It had always been Luca himself. Particularly the version from a couple of hours ago.

__

The little fox had become unexpectedly active in his sleep while remaining blissfully unaware of any of it. Xavier had simply wanted to hold his beloved through the night.

Instead, he ended up receiving far more than he had bargained for, as Luca unknowingly tested the limits of his composure every time he shifted in his sleep.

That warm body he always craved was sprawled all over him. The sound of soft breaths seemed strangely magnified in Xavier’s ears, while one delicate yet far too adventurous hand slowly wormed its way beneath the Prince’s shirt. The other lingered against his side, gathering the fabric until it rode up enough to leave a strip of bare skin exposed.

Xavier had honestly started saying prayers the moment he felt those wandering fingers brush against his bare chest.

Then made sure to internally chant faster the moment he heard the quiet little sounds.

"Mnn..."

"Husba...nd..."

Each sleepy murmur drifted against the spot just beneath Xavier’s ear as Luca instinctively sought him out, head nuzzling against his neck with complete trust.

But as though the difficulty level hadn’t already been high enough, his little fox shifted again.

One leg slid between Xavier’s before absentmindedly rubbing against his thigh and everything else down there, completely unaware of the havoc it was causing. Every random graze and unconscious brush nearly had the poor Prince hissing through his teeth.

Xavier shut his eyes.

This was torture.

Genuine torture.

Everything about it was torture that would eventually drive him insane, especially when every instinct in him wanted nothing more than to run his hands over his wife’s supple body.

He could already picture himself sinking his fingers into that perfect little bubble he adored so much, yet all those same fingers could do at the moment were to repeatedly clench and unclench around empty air, burdened by a longing that wasn’t going to be fulfilled.

At least not that night.

His beloved wasn’t trying to seduce him. If anything, Luca was probably just searching for a more comfortable sleeping position. Maybe he simply wanted a little more of the coolness Xavier naturally carried.

Unfortunately, that realization offered Xavier no comfort whatsoever. If anything, the complete innocence and trust with which Luca clung to him only made the ordeal that much harder to endure.
