"I found us an investor, so I won't have to spend a dime of my own money," Tara winks, a rare flash of mischief in her eyes.
"Wait, what? Who? Who's the sponsor?" Tricia chimes in, just as intrigued as Bianca.
"Danny."
He had practically begged to invest and partner with her. Why not take him up on the offer? While Tara has more than enough capital to cover the buyouts herself—thanks to her hidden assets and the millions of dollars from her 30% stake in the Dennis Group—using someone else's money is always better.
Bianca and Tricia stare at her, utterly stunned.
"Danny? As in the CEO of Calhoun Corporation? Why on earth is he paying for your contract buyouts?" Bianca asks, her jaw practically on the floor.
Tara keeps it brief and modest. "He wants to buy into the agency and collaborate, so I just let him handle the penalty fees as a gesture of good faith."
Tricia frowns, her protective instincts flaring. "Tara, Danny isn't someone you just play around with. He is notoriously ruthless in the business world. Aren't you worried he's going to screw you over?"
