The controversy surrounding Loretta's alleged imitation of Jade continues to dominate the internet, constantly fueled by paid trolls and Jade's hardcore fans. Wasting no time, Nikolai unleashes his legal arsenal.
He orders his legal team to draft a brutally worded cease-and-desist letter, delivering it swiftly to Astra Media. Following that up with a formal lawsuit, he aims to use the judicial system to pressure Loretta into publicly confessing to the imitation. The executives at Dennis Media believe this aggressive intimidation tactic will successfully drive Loretta out of the industry forever. With her gone, Jade's position will be secure, and the truth about her ghost-singing will remain buried. Even if Tara gets furious and tries to leak the secret, it won't matter. Without concrete proof, any suspicions will quickly fade from the public's memory.
However, despite their heavy-handed threats, Tara remains completely unbothered.
"Nikolai really is cut from the same cloth as Jake. They send over a lawsuit and a flashy legal threat, and they actually think they've won?" Tara glances over the documents, thoroughly unimpressed by the classic Dennis brothers' playbook. If they want to play this game, she is more than happy to entertain them.
"Do you need me to find a lawyer? I know a few top-tier attorneys in Capital City who are decent, but I'm not sure if their schedules are full," Tricia asks, genuine concern in her eyes. She has worked with them before, but emergency cases are tough to book.
"It’s alright. Danny said he's having his company's top corporate attorney, James, handle it personally. He told us not to worry."
"Why are you twisting it into that? He's a shareholder in this company. It's perfectly normal for him to care about his investment," Tara says quickly, trying to shut the conversation down. Danny frequently uses 'company inspections' as an excuse to drop by, chat, and take her to lunch. If he happens to walk in and hear Tricia's teasing, she will die of embarrassment.
"Oh, please! Even if he's a shareholder, we're just a tiny startup. You think a billionaire like him cares about our little dividend?" Tricia rolls her eyes. "Do you know who James usually represents? He handles billion-dollar corporate disputes! Why would he agree to our little case?"
