Chapter 35

Chapter 35

The speedboat finally grinds against the jagged shore of Solitude Isle. The cast steps onto the beach, immediately overwhelmed by the sheer hostility of the environment. True to its name, the island is a chaotic tangle of dense, untamed jungle and razor-sharp reefs, with no visible trails in sight.

The director raises his megaphone. “Your twenty-four-hour survival clock starts now! Secure shelter, find sustenance, and locate The Grand Cache.

Good luck!”

Without a word of hesitation, Tara hefts her survival pack over her shoulder and strides directly into the thick treeline. The others scramble to keep up with her steady pace.

Within an hour, Tara locates a freshwater stream and efficiently

coordinates the construction of a sturdy lean-to shelter using massive palm fronds. Ana, Amanda, and Tina eagerly pitch in, following her directions perfectly.

Originally, the director intended to split them into competing teams, but it quickly became apparent that absolutely no one wanted to be grouped with Jade. Rather than force it, the crew let them operate as one unit.

Jade seethes in silence. She watches the women work together, her chest burning with humiliation and rage. “These opportunistic bitches,” she thinks venomously. “Just wait until I get home. I’ll have Jake blacklist every single one of them from the industry.”

As the afternoon wears on, everyone’s stomachs begin to rumble.

‘I’ll check the stream to see if I can spear some fish,” Tara announces, using her survival knife to sharpen a long branch into a lethal point.

Barely thirty minutes later, she returns carrying two massive, fat freshwater fish. Moving with practiced efficiency, she cleans and fillets the meat, skewering it over a crackling fire she built from scratch. The

rich aroma of roasting fish soon drifts through the camp.

Amanda stares in sheer awe. “Tara, is there literally anything you can’t

do?”

Tara casually rotates the skewers over the flames. “In the wild, preserving your stamina is the only thing that matters. Come on, eat while it’s hot.”

The overhead drone captures the rustic, cozy scene perfectly. The chat

loses its mind:

[The ultimate teammate!]

[Tara is a literal survival goddess!]

[Please tell me she’s launching a survival masterclass!]

While the rest of the cast bonds over the meal, Jade sits on a jagged rock a few yards away, a picture of sheer misery. Refusing to help gather irewood, she complains loudly to no one in particular. “My feet are covered in blisters… The sand is so dirty… Why didn’t they give us sunscreen?”

Tina finally snaps. “Shut up, Jade! We’re on a deserted island, not your uxury penthouse. If you want to eat, get off your ass and work for it. No >ne here is your maid.”

Jade lifts her chin defiantly. “I’m not even hungry.”

+mph! She would rather starve to death than eat a single bite of Tara’s ood. She refuses to give that bitch the satisfaction of mocking her.

Besides, Jade is convinced the production crew will step in. They wouldn’t dare let the pampered heiress of the Dennis family actually go hungry, right?

She is dead wrong.
