"Not bad at all. You always think ten steps ahead, Tara," Tricia says, grinning. "I'll have Bianca take the lead on this. She can handle the negotiations with Director Alford. As for the new boy band, I've locked in three solid candidates. I'll set up a meeting for you to see them next week."
Tricia and Tara work in flawless sync. They never need to over-explain themselves; one look and they instantly understand each other's vision. Watching their agency thrive brings Tricia an undeniable rush of excitement.
"It's been ages since we went out for drinks. How about we hit a club and do some karaoke?" Tricia asks, practically vibrating with energy as she gives Tara puppy-dog eyes.
She desperately needs a wild night out to blow off steam. Beyond their crushing workload, her biggest stressor is dodging a relentlessly annoying man. Alec is driving her out of her mind. When she used to chase after him, he couldn't have cared less. He was completely apathetic, even letting his precious adopted sister, Jade, openly bully and alienate her. Now that Tricia has leveled up and become untouchable, the jerk tries to corner her every other day. It is utterly exhausting.
"Say less," Tara agrees without missing a beat.
Striking a work-life balance is crucial; burning out in the office does no one any favors. The two friends waste no time, dragging Bianca out of her office before leaving the building together.
Night falls over the city. The three women are all public figures, especially Tara, whose fame is expanding at breakneck speed. Since she risks being mobbed by fans the second she steps outside, they choose an ultra-exclusive, high-security venue. It is a strict, invitation-only private club. Unless you run in the city's elite circles, you aren't getting past the front door.
Bianca casually drops thousands to book the largest VIP lounge, securing top-tier service and a room stocked with every luxury imaginable. Her family is incredibly wealthy and powerful, but Bianca is so low-key and down-to-earth that very few people realize she is the heiress of the Turner family.
"Drinks are on me tonight! Don't even try to fight me for the check," Bianca declares, tossing her designer bag onto the leather sofa. "We are going all out. We drink, we dance, and we lose our minds!"
Bianca has been working herself to the bone lately. Now that Tara and Tricia have dragged her out, she is fully committed to the party.
