The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 521

Bianca is resolutely anti-marriage. She enjoys flirting with younger guys for the thrill of it, but she never actually catches feelings. Normally, she spends her time checking out attractive men or teasing them, so watching her intensely complain about a specific guy is a completely new experience.

"Don't look at me like that. The man is just completely out of his mind, which is why I brought him up. Don't get the wrong idea," Bianca insists, shaking her head as a look of pure disgust crosses her face at the mention of Luke. She already dislikes men, but she has a special hatred for guys who never know when to shut up. There is absolutely zero chance she would ever be interested in someone like him.

Tara just smiles, seeing right through her friend's denial but choosing not to point it out. Honestly, it wouldn't be such a bad thing if sparks did fly between them.

Meanwhile, after dropping Tara off, Danny heads straight back to Calhoun Corporation. Before he even returned from the rural trip, he instructed his assistant to dig into the two local brothers and the village thugs. It doesn't take long for his highly efficient assistant to drop a thick file onto his desk. Dealing with a few low-level bullies is hardly a challenge for his network.

Danny casually tosses the dossier into Luke's hands. "I've done the heavy lifting for you. If you still can't secure that village after this, we're done talking about any future partnerships."

Calhoun Corporation also holds a significant stake in the Blackwood Creek resort development project. Luke skims the documents, a confident smirk spreading across his face. "Relax, man. I've got this completely under control." He snaps the folder shut and immediately pivots the conversation. "So... is Tara's friend, Bianca, single? She's got this fiery, stubborn streak. Exactly my type."
