Back at the Sinclair estate, Lindsay returns from her trip to the temple, eager to shower her precious grandson with love. But the moment she walks into the parlor, her heart drops. Little Gavin looks like he has shrunk.

"Gavin, darling, what happened to you? Why have you lost so much weight?" Lindsay's eyes instantly well with tears. Lindsay's anxiety spikes. She grips his small hands tightly. "Don't be afraid, sweetheart. Tell Grandma everything. I'll protect you." This is absolutely not a "nothing is wrong" situation. While it's true that Gavin's severe autism keeps him isolated, he has never looked this emotionally shattered.
