Her words and expression pierce Alec's heart once again. But having built up an immunity, he replies with a bright smile, "Of course I have to come. Jake, Nikolai, and Mom are all worried that you aren't taking good care of yourself. You're shouldering the entire Dennis Group on your own, and it's too exhausting. So they told me to keep an eye on you and make sure you eat and rest properly."

Faced with Alec's explanation, Tara immediately fires back, "Aren't you guys working at the Dennis Group too?" How did it become her carrying the burden alone?

"Take a seat, then. Or go do your own work if you're busy."

After speaking, Tara heads over to the plush sofa with Tricia.

"No, no, I'm not busy!" The pitiful Alec obediently sits on the small stool, his heart swelling with immense gratitude. Just a short while ago, he didn't even have a chair to sit on and would be chased out immediately. Now, he actually gets a designated seat!
