The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 841

“What a coincidence, VP Traller. You just told me you were too busy to hang out, and here you are having dinner with a beautiful woman.” Bianca walks over, her voice dripping with confident, elegant charm.

Coen slowly looks up. He doesn't look the least bit surprised by her sudden appearance. In fact, it's almost as if he expected it. “It is a coincidence,” he replies with perfect gentlemanly poise.

Bianca flashes a tight smile. “And who is this?” Coincidence my foot! she fumes internally. I am finding out exactly who this woman is today!

Coen doesn't try to hide anything. “My blind date.”

A blind date? Oh. Just a blind date. Bianca immediately feels a massive wave of relief wash over her. The tight knot of tension in her chest unravels. If there is one thing she is intimately familiar with, it is the endless carousel of high-society matchmaking. She knows exactly how to handle this.

“Mr. Traller, who is this?” the woman sitting across from him asks, her curiosity piqued.

“She's—”

“Hi there. I'm Coen's colleague, his best friend, and his closest confidante,” Bianca interrupts, sliding into an empty chair at their table as if she owns the place. She leans in close to Coen, her lips brushing just inches from his ear as she drops her voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “I'm an expert at this. Want me to help you get rid of her?”

Bianca chokes on her words, her eyes going wide as she glares at him. You're actually kicking me out? she demands silently. But facing Coen's calm, unreadable expression, she swallows her retort.

The woman across the table internally rejoices. Seeing Coen speak up for her and dismiss this interloper gives her a massive boost of confidence. She has harbored a crush on Coen for a long time, and now that they are finally on a date, he is already taking her side. She has a real shot here. Lifting her chin with an arrogant, triumphant smirk, she shoots Bianca a dismissive look.

Bianca is absolutely furious. She wants nothing more than to flip the table. Her life has been smooth sailing since the day she was born. As the cherished daughter of the powerful Turner family, she has always been surrounded by love, shielded from hardship by her parents and grandparents. Their open-minded parenting shaped her carefree, optimistic personality. Yet here she is, hitting a massive roadblock in the form of one stoic man. Of course she is angry! But since Coen has drawn the line, she refuses to make a scene in a crowded restaurant. Without another word, she turns on her heel and marches dejectedly back to her own table.

“I am so mad! I am furious!” Bianca plops down into her seat, looking at Tara with a pitiful pout. “I feel like the evil, jealous side character in a cheesy romance novel!”
