Bonnie takes a deep breath, straightens her spine, and gathers her courage. She walks over to Tara and blurts out, "Um, Tara, I... I need to tell you something. I misunderstood you before, and I'm really sorry. I was too stupid and let that impostor trick me. She egged me on to target you, and I said so many awful things. I truly apologize."
After pouring her heart out, she glances timidly at Tara, wondering if she needs to sound more sincere.
Tara simply says, "It's fine."
"It's... fine?" Bonnie blinks, caught off guard.
"I mean I don't blame you. Relax, don't be so tense," Tara adds with a helpless smile.
If it were the old Tara, she might not have forgiven her so easily. But having been through the wringer with the Dennis family, she knows how easily people can be brainwashed. Her own three brothers and even her mother were led by the nose by Jade and her mother. Bonnie's situation is practically identical. If she can forgive her own flesh and blood, Bonnie's past hostility is nothing. It never caused her any real emotional damage anyway. Plus, gaining a sincere friend out of forgiveness is a worthwhile trade.
