The Secret Heiress Loved by Four (Isha and Jason) novel Chapter 8

Eight

Sylvara Pov

Finally, all eyes turned to me.

I couldn’t breathe. My chest tightened. I looked at Kaelen, fury, and horror and disbelief raging through me.

“… I will not be part of this,” I spat. “I will not…”

Kaelen’s dark eyes caught mine. He stepped down from the stairs, the air around him shifting. Every wolf in the hall could feel it…the power he exuded, the control he had over everyone.

And over me.

“Bunny,” he said quietly, and somehow it was louder than anything anyone else had said. ” You know you have no choice.”

1 shook my head, anger boiling. “You can’t just make the me..”

“Listen!” Kaelen called sharply. “You will all treat her with respect. She is mine. She will follow the rules of the harem, as do the others.”

The pack’s reactions differ… some muttered, some stared, some nodded. But Kaelen’s voice brooked no argument.

I felt fury like fire in my veins. How dare he…?

How dare he take me and sexually parade me like this?

Kaelen stepped closer. I tried to step back, but my heels scraped against the stone floor.

“Mine forever,” he said quietly, letting the words sink in. “You will obey. And in time…” His lips curled into a smirk. “…you may even learn to like it.”

1 glared, my teeth clenched. “I will never like anything that you are in!”

He chuckled softly. “Not yet. But give it time, Bunny. You’ll see.”

The other women watched me, some with curious glances, some withfriendly nods, some sizing me up like rivals. I didn’t care. My mind was full of anger, humiliation, and a flicker of fear. And beneath it all, a strange, unwelcome pull. Kaelen had made it clear… I was his. His harem,

his pack, his property for now. And whether I liked it or not, my life had just been rewritten.

I swallowed hard, trying to control my shaking hands. My chest burned, my mind spun, but one thing was certain…

I would fight him. I would resist him. I would not be a plaything.

But… deep down, I felt a spark of something I couldn’t name… something… dangerous,

confusing, and utterly infuriating.

Kaelen caught my glance and smirked. “Good. Keep that fire burning, Bunny. You’ll need it.”

I hate him. I hate him. I hate him.

But I couldn’t stop looking at him.

And for the first time, I realized that this… this hate, this anger, this fire… was only the beginning.

The party continued long into the night.

Music echoed through the halls, laughter and wolf calls filling every corner of the castle. The scent of roasted meat and wine hung in the air, mingling with perfume and candle smoke. It was overwhelming, chaotic, and entirely unlike anything I’d ever experienced.

I tried to find some quiet, some corner where I could breathe without being stared at or whispered about. But the castle was alive… every corridor, every hall had someone moving, someone watching, someone laughing.

Kaelen was nowhere to be seen. I didn’t know if that was a relief or a disappointment. Probably both.

I wandered down one of the quieter corridors, my heels clicking against the polished stone floor. The music faded as I moved farther from the main hall. My chest still burned from the evening, my cheeks still flushed from the announcement that I was part of his harem. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, couldn’t stop thinking about him….

Damn him.

And then I saw him.

Leaning against the wall at the end of a corridor, Kaelen’s lips were pressed to someone else’s. Maren. One of the women from his harem. Her hands were tangled in his hair as she moaned softly. His hands were sliding dangerously between her thighs, and I froze, my chest tightening, my pulse pounding.

The heat in my cheeks was sudden, unwanted, and confusing.

And then his eyes caught mine.

He smiled. That calm, deadly smile. And then he kissed Maren again, whispering something into her ear, tapping her ass lightly as she walked away.

I blinked, Stood frozen. Didn’t move.

“If you wanted to join,” Kaelen said softly, his voice behind me, silky and teasing, “you could have said something instead of staring.”
