THE SPITEFUL BRIDE: Marry To Rival's Son novel Chapter 111

Chapter 111

Samuel closed his eyes briefly and exhaled, long and slow.

Mia words weren’t praises, they were jab directed at him. Tis isn’t a stray bullet, it’s a direct hit.

One he was more than willing to hit back. No one messes with him. No one.

Mia and Stefan didn’t stay a minute longer after the speech

There was nothing left to say. Nothing more to prove.

The message had been sent, loud and clear.

You can’t stop us because we’re an unstoppable force.

As they made their way down the stage, Elena was already waiting for them, practically bouncing in place.

She smacked Mia’s palm in a dramatic high-five.

“Girl! The way your dad’s face froze… if he doesn’t call his doctor tonight, I’ll do it myself,” she said, half-joking, half mocking.

Mia chuckled, shaking her head, “Stop it.”

“I’m serious,” Elena grinned. “I was ready to dial 911 right there.”

Before Mia could respond, Ethan approached them with a quiet smile. His hands were tucked into his pockets, but his steps were steady… no trace of awkwardness.

He walked up to Stefan first, extended a hand.

“Congratulations, Stefan,” he said. “It was… powerful.”

Stefan nodded and shook his hand firmly. “Appreciate that.”

Then Ethan turned to Mia. For a second, she wasn’t sure what he’d say… after all the chaos, the tension that had build up in the past months their… but instead, he just smiled and offered his hand.

“And you… Mia. That was something else. Really. The idea was refreshing and captivating.”

Mia smiled, genuine this time. “Thank you, Ethan.”

She didn’t need the company anymore. Didn’t need the validation.

She was past holding grudges, and now that the power play was over, all she wanted was peace. Civility, at least.

“The future is now. And it’s right in front of me.” He added with a little humor. Mia let out a light laugh.

She accepted his handshake and watched as he gave her a respectful nod before walking away.

“He isn’t that bad” Elena said staring at him walk away.

Mia nodded her head in agreement. He is nothing like Samuel.

A moment later, Sienna came running up, heels clicking as he threw her arms around Mia and Stefan in a warm hug. 1

“You guys were amazing!” she beamed. “Like… chills amazing!”

Mia laughed as Sienna practically twirled in excitement. She gave Elena a quick squeeze and waved cheerfully at Mose who stood nearby, arms folded, watching everythingke a quiet shadow.

Ethan disappeared into the crowd while Sienna leaned closer to Mia as they walked toward the waiting cars.

“I mean, this dress?” Sienna gushed. “This makeup? You looked like you walked off the cover of Vogue. And that speech…. God, Mia. You killed it.”

Mia’s lips curved up in a soft, grateful smile. She could feel the pressure of the evening finally lifting.

It had gone exactly as planned. Better, even.

Then came Stefan’s voice behind them.

“Alright, girls. Fun’s over.” He gently tapped Mia’s lower back. “I need to take my wife home. She’s had enough applause for one night.”

Elena raised a brow, grinning. “Is that what they’re calling it these days?”

Sienna giggled and nudged Mia, “We’ll pretend we didn’t hear that.”

Mia blushed but didn’t say anything. Stefan didn’t even flinch at their teasing. He simply reached for Mia’s hand, laced his fingers with hers, and began walking her toward the car.

Sienna and Elena stood back, exchanging looks with little smiles like proud sisters.

Once the car door closed behind them, Stefan glanced at Mia….. really looked at her… like she was the only thing that mattered.

“You okay?” he asked, voice low.

She nodded.

“Relieved,” she whispered, leaning her head against his shoulder.

He kissed the top of her head, and they drove off… leaving behind whispers, shock, applause, and all the table they’ve successfully shook.

By the time they walked into the penthouse, the adrenaline had started to wear off. Mia kicked off her heels near the door and sighed deeply. Stefan loosened his tie, then wrapped his arms around her from behind, pressing a soft kiss to her neck.

“You killed it tonight,” he murmured against her skin.

“So did you,” she replied, her voice muffled with sleep.

They didn’t say much after that.

Instead, they made their way to the bathroom, stepping out of their clothes slowly… not in the heat of passion, but like two people peeling off the weight of the world. The waller ran warm, steam rising gently around them as they stood under the shower together, letting the silence speak for them.

He washed her back while she leaned into him, eyes closed her head resting on his shoulder.

It wasn’t about cleansing just their bodies…. it was like they were rinsing off everything. The pressure. The fake smiles. The long speeches. The eyes watching them all nigl.

After they dried off, she slipped into one of his shirts…. something soft and oversized, and he pulled on clean boxers. They climbed into bed without a word, just quiet touches and a shared, tired breath.

She curled against his chest, and he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close like he always did.
