“What’s going on?” Elizabeth walked up to Melton, her tone calm.
Melton immediately turned and reported respectfully, “Ms. Schofield, Blackrat, Hardfist, Bigfang, and the others are using their old status to pressure their underlings into doing their share of the cleanup while they slack off in the back. I just caught them and was giving them a piece of my mind.”
As soon as he finished, Blackrat suddenly looked up, his face full of grievance as he shouted, “Boss! That’s bullshit! My buddies and I have been working hard, doing exactly what you ordered. We wouldn’t dare slack off! It’s Melton! He’s had a grudge against us for a long time. Now he’s just picking on us and making stuff up! If you don’t believe me, you can ask everyone!”

Chapter 109 Forced to Confess
Seeing this, Blackrat forced himself to step forward and tried to argue. “Pons, look, every fall is Anferens. the angle, the force, so of course it won’t look exactly the same! Please, be fair, don’t make this hard on
them-
Before he could finish, Elizabeth moved her mind.
“Argh!” Blackrat let out a bone–chilling scream. It was like an invisible whip hit him hard. He staggered, then curled up in pain.
Before he could recover, a second strike hit. He rolled on the ground, screaming nonstop.
Hardfist, Bigfang, and the others standing beside him had been about to join in and speak for him, too.
But after seeing Blackrat’s miserable state, their faces went pale. Their legs gave out, and they dropped to their knees.
“Boss, spare us! Please! W–we won’t dare again!”
Isaaç looked at the men, who used to act all powerful in front of him; now they looked like animals waiti to be slaughtered in front of Elizabeth.
Thinking about all the bullying he’d endured, a strange rush of courage mixed with fear and the thrill of revenge surged through him.
He gritted his teeth and pointed at Blackrat and the others. “Boss! I’ll tell you! I’ll tell the truth! These injuries–we got them from Blackrat, Hardfist, Bigfang! They forced us to do their work for them. When we were too tired to move, they beat us!”
With Isaac taking the lead, Milo gathered his courage and blurted everything out. “That’s right! They said we were traitors, that it was our fault they ended up like this! They told us we had to work for them to pay them back, and if we didn’t finish, they’d beat us to death!”
3lackrat had just caught his breath from the pain of the circle. Hearing these nobodies, he usually looked down on, actually ratting him out made him see red. He glared at Isaac and Milo with a look that could kill.
saac flinched, but then he remembered Elizabeth was right there. He steeled himself and spoke again, ‘Boss! Look! He’s staring at me like that! He’s definitely going to get back at me later!”
Blackrat panicked and tried to explain.
‘Argh!” Another invisible strike hit him, leaving a bloody mark. His words died in his throat, replaced by painful groans.
Elizabeth looked at Isaac and nodded. “Good. You reported the situation in time. You’ll be rewarded with
one sedative.”
Isaac froze for a second, then looked totally thrilled. He quickly bowed to her. “Thank you, Boss! Thank you!”
Milo saw this and quickly raised his hand. “Boss, I have more to report! Yesterday, when you weren’t here, Blackrat, Hardfist, and Bigfang threatened Pockmax and Fathead, forcing them to run away! They only ran
