Chapter 128 It Drops
What if some troublesome exiles got access to one? That would only cause more chaos.
With that bit of hope gone, Elizabeth felt her mood sink.
Is there really no other way?

If she kept selling only once every three days, how long would it take before she could finally reach financial freedom?
Hire an agent?
The thought had just appeared when Elizabeth shut it down herself.
Absolutely not. She didn’t work this hard growing crops just to let someone else get rich off her effort.
What if the agent becomes too powerful later and turns against me, or damages my reputation by selling low–quality goods?
While she was still stuck thinking about it, she noticed Fiona walking over from nearby and quickly called out, “Fiona!”
Fiona stopped and came closer. “Ms. Schofield, do you need something?”
Elizabeth remembered what they had talked about earlier and asked, “Fiona, you said you were exiled mostly because of Melton’s mental power collapse, right?”
A bitter look flashed across Fiona’s face. “Yeah. Melton was forced into exile after his mental power collapsed. As for me, I refused to accept it and made a huge fuss, so they sent me here with him.”
“A huge fuss? How many years were you sentenced to?” Elizabeth asked further.
Fiona thought for a bit, sounding uncertain. “Maybe three years? I don’t remember the exact number anymore. It doesn’t matter anyway. I never planned to go back, so I don’t care how long it is.”
Elizabeth’s eyes brightened slightly. “Then, if Melton’s mental power collapse improved, could
he return?”
“Could a mental power collapse even improve?” Fiona froze when she heard that and repeated the question without thinking.
To her and almost everyone in the interstellar world, that idea was nearly impossible.

Elizabeth looked completely calm. “Why not?”
Fiona suddenly jerked like she’d been struck by lightning.
All at once, she remembered that Melton had gone three or four days without showing any signs of mental power backlash.
Before that, he used to flare up every one or two days without fail, suffering terribly each time.
And Tiffany, too. Her condition seemed much more stable now.
“Ms. Schofield! P–please wait here for a moment!” Fiona’s voice shook. She didn’t explain anything and simply turned and ran, almost tripping but moving extremely fast.
Elizabeth blinked, confused. They had been talking normally just now. She had no idea why Fiona suddenly rushed off.
But soon after, Fiona came running back like a storm, dragging the serious–looking Melton behind her, with the equally confused Tiffany following close by.
Fiona was panting hard. She rushed up to Elizabeth, so excited that her words came out messy and tangled.
She grabbed Elizabeth’s hand as tears burst out all at once. “Ms. Schofield! Melton and Tiffany… Their… their mental power damage level dropped! It really dropped!”
As she spoke, she completely lost control of her emotions and covered her face, crying loudly.
Her sobs were filled with shock, joy, and the release of feelings she had held inside for far too long.
Melton’s eyes were also reddened. He stepped forward and pulled the emotionally broken Fiona into a tight hug, gently patting her back while speaking in a rough voice filled with emotion.
Watching everything unfold, Elizabeth only felt more puzzled. “Uh… if the damage level went down, isn’t that good? Or… does it cause some bad side effects?”
Tiffany’s eyes were also red, but she stayed calmer than Fiona. She took a deep breath before explaining, “Ms. Schofield, Fiona is just too overwhelmed. You might not know this, but according to the kingdom, mental power damage can’t be reversed! Once it collapses, the damage only keeps getting worse over time–either slowly or suddenly if something sets it off. But never… never has anyone heard of it going down! So after people like us were exiled, we just lived day by day. None of us ever dared to believe things might improve someday!”
Only then did Elizabeth finally understand.

Melton steadied himself and spoke in a low voice, though a slight shake remained, “My damage level used to be 95%. I just checked with a portable scanner. Now it’s 87%”
Tiffany also shared her numbers. “I used to be at 88%. Now I’m at 82%.”
After crying for a while, Fiona gradually calmed down.
She wiped her tears awkwardly, then bowed deeply to Elizabeth. “Sorry, Ms. Schofield. I lost control. Thank you so much! Melton and Tiffany getting better must be because they’ve been eating the potatoes you gave them. It has to be! Really, thank you! If you allow it, I’m willing to spend the rest of my life working for you to repay this kindness!”
Elizabeth knew that the potatoes she grew did have a small effect on repairing mental power. But for the results to be this obvious, it was probably also thanks to the Spiritbound Circle that had nourished this land.
She smiled, helped Fiona stand up, and joked lightly, “You said it yourself. I won’t hold back then. Later, when my farm keeps expanding, I’ll need a lot more workers.”
All three of them replied almost at the same time, their voices extremely serious, “As long as you don’t mind keeping us, we’re willing to follow you for life!”
“Good. Then it’s decided.” Elizabeth nodded, then remembered the main question. “Right, you still haven’t answered me. If your mental power collapse improves and the damage level returns to a safe range, then by law, can you go back to Centria Planet?”
