Chapter 185 Better Not Mean Trouble

Ever since they first tasted the potatoes from Tycoon Boss’s stall, it felt like a brand–new world had opened up to them.
That tender, sweet, earthy taste, along with the warm comfort spreading through their bodies after eating, was something no expensive liquid supplements could ever replace.
More importantly, after eating them, their mental power felt clearer, and that dull, heavy feeling caused by living on liquid supplements and artificial food for so long had eased a lot.
The best part was that the price was still affordable for regular working people like them.
After discussing it together, the two of them decided to swap out their liquid supplements and use potatoes as their daily main food.
But once they got used to eating well, going back to the old way felt unbearable.
After getting used to the full, happy feeling potatoes gave them, forcing down those cold, tasteless liquid supplements felt like torture.
Their stomachs always felt empty, and their whole bodies carried a strange feeling of weakness and discomfort.
Because of that deep, almost addictive craving for potatoes, the two of them dragged themselves out of their warm beds before daylight had fully arrived today.
They pushed through the freezing wind and hurried toward the plaza, determined to grab the very first spot and make up for the empty stomachs from the last two days.
But when they arrived at the usual reservation spot for the stall, they stopped in shock. Someone had gotten there ahead of them.
And it wasn’t just one person. A small group stood there, looking like a family.
At the front stood a lively old man wearing a thick gray coat. His hands were tucked into his sleeves as he quietly spoke with the old woman beside him.
Behind them stood two middle–aged couples who looked like their children.
Dylan squinted slightly and recognized the old man right away.
The last few times he had lined up, that same old man had always been one of the earliest arrivals, chatting nonstop with people nearby.
As if sensing their gaze, Wallace turned around. The moment he spotted Benji and Dylan, he broke into a friendly smile. “Well now, boys, you’re early today too?”
Dylan scratched the back of his head, looking a bit embarrassed, and stepped forward. “Morning, sir. Last time work delayed me, so I showed up late and missed my chance. I figured I’d better come extra early this time and stock up. I didn’t expect you and ma’am to still beat us here.”

Wallace laughed, clearly pleased. “Of course we did! My grandson is heading back to the army tomorrow so we wanted to buy extra and let him bring some along. Once he’s back at the base, he won’t get food th good.”
He gestured toward the family behind him. “So we brought the whole family. We’re going all in today!”
Gianna smiled and added, “That’s right. Our grandson serves in the border forces. Life out there is tough Food this good helps him stay strong, and he can even share some with his teammates.
Time passed little by little as they chatted and waited in anticipation.
