Chapter 195 Stop Blocking the Way

Elizabeth acted like Hannah and the others weren’t even there.

Being ignored like that felt even worse to Hannah than being insulted out loud.

Her smile froze. Without noticing, her fingers tightened around Zachary’s arm.

She sniffed softly. Right on cue, her eyes turned red, and tears began to gather. In a voice full of fake concern and shaky emotion, she said, “Eliza, I know you’re hurting deep down. It must fee terrible not being accepted by the Hewitts, right? Otherwise, you wouldn’t have to work so har and run a stall out here.”

She paused, acting as if she had just made an important choice. Then she lifted her wrist and started tapping her device, speaking with a tone full of fake concern, “Eliza, are you really short on money? I still have 100,000 stellar coins left from this month’s allowance. I’ll send it all to you. It’s not much, but it should help you for a while. Don’t push yourself so hard.”

While talking, she purposely turned the screen outward. The amount ready to transfer- 100,000 stellar coins–was clearly visible.

Her real purpose was obvious. First, she wanted to show that she could casually spend 100,000 stellar coins as allowance. Second, she wanted Elizabeth to look poor and pitiful. Third, she wanted herself to appear kind, generous, and noble for helping someone who had once hurt

her.

She waited, expecting Elizabeth to feel embarrassed or thankful after seeing such a “large”

amount.

But Elizabeth still acted as if Hannah didn’t exist. She neatly packed the potatoes and strawberries a customer had bought, then said the total price, “That’ll be 82,200 stellar coins. Thank you.”

“Beep-” Payment completed.

Hannah’s hand froze in the air, her device still raised. She couldn’t finish the transfer because nobody was paying attention to her at all.

That kind of ignoring was more humiliating than any argument ever could be.

He even reached out without thinking, as if he wanted to grab Elizabeth and stop her from finishing the sale, forcing her to face Hannah’s kindness.

“Move aside! Stop blocking the way!” a loud, rough voice suddenly roared like thunder.

A large, muscular man with wide shoulders, who had been standing behind Zachary in line, shoved him aside impatiently.

Zachary stumbled and almost fell, barely catching himself in a miserable scramble.

The burly man shot Zachary and Hannah a look full of scorn. His voice rang out loudly, full of open mockery. “Where did these two fools come from? Are you blind? Can’t you see how crazy good Tycoon Boss’s business is? Any random order here costs tens of thousands, even more than 100 thousand stellar coins! You think your tiny 100,000 stellar coins can help Tycoon Boss? That’s hilarious. That money can’t even buy a few sweet potatoes!”

As he spoke, he quickly packed up the potatoes, sweet potatoes, and strawberries he bought. Then he used his device and transferred 150,000 stellar coins smoothly. His tone instantly urned polite. “Boss, payment sent. It’s 150,000 stellar coins. Please check it. When will you come again next time? I need to stock up more!”

Zachary’s face looked just as bad, shifting between red and pale. Only now did he finally notice that the sales at Elizabeth’s stall were far beyond what he had imagined.
