Raymond had assumed Sebastian was at best a fiancé in waiting. Little did he know that while he was completely in the dark, those two had already quietly removed the “waiting” part.
Sebastian paused briefly. A rare smile, warm and genuine, softened his usually reserved features. Without a hint of hesitation, he turned to Raymond and said in a low, clear voice, “Brother.”

“I met you first. But when you had that accident, and Melissa made you lose your memory again, I didn’t know. I had no idea you were suffering alone, that you ended up in Havenbrook, met Lucas, and let him deceive you for five whole years.
“It took all this time to have you back. That was both my punishment and my greatest blessing.
“So I told myself not to be greedy. I’m your legal husband now. We have a lifetime for you to slowly remember every moment we shared.”
His voice faltered. “And…”
Riley caught his hesitation. “And what?”
For the first time, Sebastian sounded unsure. “That part of our past… we never even met face to face. All we had were those games, session after session.
