Chapter 561 Shadows of Revenge
From that moment on, Aiden made a solemn vow–not only would he exact revenge on Sebastian and strip him of every possession he held dear, but he would also elevate the Quinn family to unprecedented heights, establishing them as the supreme dynasty in Nexopolis.
At present, both the Harper and Torres households stood as obstacles in his path, akin to thorns that required immediate extraction.
What irritated him even more was the transformation Sebastian had undergone following Riley’s arrival. Previously cold and emotionally detached, Sebastian had now become guarded, inscrutable, and increasingly formidable to handle.
That was precisely why Aiden had extended an offer to Elsie–a disposable piece in his strategic game who harbored an equally intense resentment toward the Harpers and Riley.
He intended to utilize her to detonate Melissa, the most volatile ticking time bomb concealed within the Harper family dynamics.
Once the Harper clan was plunged into disarray, Sebastian would be compelled to divert all his energy toward managing the catastrophe for his beloved wife.
And when that occurred, the seemingly invincible corporate fortress of the Torres family would appear far less secure.
At the epicenter of the conspiracy, Aiden immersed himself in his intricately constructed fantasy of retribution, fully convinced that he had absolute command over the situation.
However, he had severely underestimated Sebastian’s tactical acumen and razor–sharp instincts.
Unbeknownst to Aiden, from the instant Elsie exited the residence/she was under surveillance from the shadows.
Her every movement was relayed to Sebastian in real time.
Inside the master suite, heavy blackout curtains obscured the urban night of Nexopolis.
Sebastian stood by the floor–to–ceiling window, listening intently to the update from his operative on the line.
On the expansive bed, Riley slept fitfully.
Even in the depths of her slumber, her delicate brows remained furrowed.
“Understood,” Sebastian responded, his voice low and gravelly.
He pivoted, his gaze fixing upon Riley’s slightly pallid features, and his eyes hardened into ice. “Maintain the surveillance. Ensure you remain undetected. Report any anomalies immediately.”
After terminating the call, his expression darkened like a storm gathering on the horizon.
Aiden…
A menacing aura radiated from Sebastian.
If all this upheaval was merely Aiden’s scheme stemming from some ancient grudge, then not even his late aunt’s memory would
be sufficient to shield him now.

“Sebastran had never intended to target the Quinn family without provocation. But if they were determined to march toward their own demise, he would have no qualms about accelerating the process.
He remained standing in the gloom for an extended period, his mind processing rapidly as he meticulously realigned his resources. and adjusted his tactical approach.
Once the strategy was set, he lifted the duvet and sipped silently back beneath the sheets.
Reaching out, he pulled the sleeping Riley into his embrace.
Sensing his familiar warmth, she instinctively nestled closer, though her breathing still retained a hint of anxiety.
Sebastian tightened his hold.
The woman in his arms was not resting peacefully, and he himself lay awake, his eyes fixed on the faint moonlight piercing through the gap in the drapes.
Morning arrived.
Riley gradually opened her eyes. The room still retained a lingering chill from the night, but the warmth radiating from beside her was familiar and reassuring.
She stirred, and Sebastian noticed instantly. His deep, voice roughened by sleep, sounded close to her ear. “You’re awake?”
“Mmm…” she mumbled, attempting to sit up just as Sebastian rose first. He handed her the smartphone she had left on the nightstand, along with a glass of lukewarm water.
In the serene light of the morning, he delivered a startling revelation.
“Last night, Elsie paid a visit to Aiden,” he stated, his tone level, but Riley was instantly jolted into full alertness.
She looked up at him, slightly dazed, searching his deep, unfathomable eyes. “Those two… have actually formed an alliance?” The news caught her off guard–yet, in a way, it was logically consistent.
Even without knowing the exact promises Aiden had made to Elsie, the fact itself confirmed the suspicions she and Sebastian had been progressively piecing together.
Riley took a slow sip of water, remaining silent for a moment before speaking with a cynical sneer. “I never realized Aiden was this audacious. Planning to take on both our families simultaneously? He had better be careful not to choke on his own ambition.”
