A FEW DAYS LATER: 

“Are you the only one here?” Elijah asked as soon as Jacob strolled through his suite hospital room. 

Today was his charge day and they had been a week and a few days and he was feeling so much better and the doctor approved. All through his time here, there were two huge bodyguards standing in front of his room, as though he was a prisoner and the police didn’t want him to escape. However, in this instance, Hannah wanted him to be safe from Janet and her craziness, and to prevent him from straining himself. 

After her visit the other day, as soon as she left the room with Martin in with him, Elijah chuckled and said, “I don’t think anyone has ever taken care of me like 

this….not even mum or any of the dozen nannies we had.” 

Martin laughed and said, “I totally agree and I’m genuinely happy that you have someone like that around you.” 

So after being surrounded by everybody throughout the past days he was in here, with the kids coming down and playing board games with him, and Maya coming with food, Cherry coming in and ranting while Martin and Lucas always stayed in the corner of the room flirting and looking at each other with desire, Hannah joining in the games and controlling every wrong move. He was appalled to see only Jacob standing there with a tired smile. 

Was it all a dream? He couldn’t help but think. 

“Well, you don’t look excited to me and yes, I am the only one along with some security. I picked up everything you might do. So do you care for fries and burgers or alcohol?” He asked and Elijah rose to his feet frowning deeply. 

“I just want to get back home.” Elijah answered and Jacob raised his hand in surrender. 

“Okay…fine!”
