Loved the Wrong Sister
ELIJAH’S POV:
“How do I keep forgetting these type of girls are exactly your type and you never see the problem with them?” He pointed out as we arrived to the VIP section.
I didn’t pay attention to what he had said, I was simply looking for the beautiful red haired girl, “What’s her name and who is she?” I inquired when our eyes locked and she was dancing slowly and sensually keeping her eyes on “Janet Jones, she’s a young famous model and daughter to the exquisite Jones family.” He answered giving me a drink and I took a sip while keeping my eyes on her.
End of flashback.
That night went by in a blur, we had danced for a second before she went to the bathroom with her girls and she returned quite irritated at my presence and announced she was leaving. She declined my offer to take her home or even get her number.
That only seemed to make me want her more. She was perfect through the lens of my eyes but I guess Kyle was right. And now and a few years ago, I had been slowly uncovering what was the problem with her especially after being with the kindest, and sweetest person ever known to man’s history, Hannah… My Hannah.
LATER THAT NIGHT.
I arrived at my house at a few minutes past nine hoping they would be wrapping things up but to my surprise, they were all merry, sipping wine, laughing and enjoying dessert.
“Look who finally decided to join us.” My mum announced my presence, turning everyone’s attention back to me and I smiled tightly.
“Elijah!” My younger cousin, Victor, rose up from his seat and stretched out his hand for a shake after I could see him mentally debate whether to go for a hug or a handshake.
I embraced him instead tightly and I could hear him sniffle. He had some issues which he had been in rehab for but my parents never ever talked about it and I’m certain even the Jones weren’t aware.
“Join us. I saved you a plate.” I blinked repeatedly so did Victor fighting back the tears and it wasn’t hard when I heard Janet’s voice.
